WTF! Two broken bass strings at ONCE?DotNoir wrote: And this is what happened to me during our rehearsals:
Eh, in fact I continued playing with A, D and G after E broke and then I broke the A... And I wasn't even slamming, there's something wrong with the bridge, but I can't seem to get it rightSascha Franck wrote:WTF! You must've been truly slamming them!
Maybe you should check out Graph Techs replacement bridge saddles. Hm, don't know if they're available for basses as well...DotNoir wrote: Eh, in fact I continued playing with A, D and G after E broke and then I broke the A... Well, my live stuff might look even worse (can't take pictures as it's all in the garage).cyberpink wrote: looks_like_dirty(i_hadn't_notice_my_stuff_looked_so_destroyed)
the Sissy 100 needs some seious TLC..it doesn't track to the midi>cvbox properly, and i have as yet been unable to find any repair/calibration documents, or even a tech who could/would work on it...and although it lacks the flexability of a 2600 and similar, or big fat mooglike filters, it does have it's own idiosyncratic sound...it has a real warmth in the oscs, setting the two oscs with different adsr/filter settings, basic layering type stuff, just sounds so damn warm and "analog"...i've had it for about 23 years, and used it live with some of chicago's most "illustrious" punk/noise/jazz practitioners-using a double cross mod osc patch, run the 101 keyboard audio out into the trusty Effectron, run the keys cv into the delay cv input, work the controls with my hands and the keys with my elbows, and run the whole mess into my Carvin 100w tube amp clean channel & Peavy 4x12 cab/keyboard stand, well she makes a mighty wail that clears the room of the weak and puts smiles on the faces of the brave!Landphil wrote:ross, ya got some System 100!
Me too...but can you keep it in tune? Mine drifts like the clouds, but it's still fun to diddle with once in a while!
Fun looking studio it is!
