I never said or meant that Scott. I think everyone should do what they feel is best and I hesitate to discourage anyone from their work. However when the best concerted public effort the chief executive of our federal government can muster is a national day of prayer nearly two weeks after the fact, it seems weak. My thoughts are constantly with the survivors, the refugees, the families, friends and acquaintances of the victims - victims of the fury of the storm, victims of the cruelty of others, and victims of the negligence. The whole story of what is still happening in and around the affected areas of the gulf coast and the displaced people who fled that area may take a long time to unravel. Maybe as long as it will take for the suffering to end.rockstar_not wrote:...Let's just say that I'm trying to help with a 3 point effort - the song/CD, the personal money, and the prayer.
I guess I'm just mentally ill for doing so.
I apologize to you all if my glib remark offended you and I don't mean to start a row. I am not an insensitive person. I'm just a bit heartbroken and distressed myself. I'll try to focus my attention into my music and keep it off here.
Goodnight Alex and sorry Scott.

That's a great idea Koolkeys! I'm still waiting to talk to them, but if they don't call soon, I'll call them. Hopefully we'll know something by close of business today.koolkeys wrote:Oh, and another idea for the negotiations for the CD duplication.
If the company just won't come down any more, how about adding to the negotiations that some of THE COMPANY'S profits go to the Red Cross. This helps in a couple ways. It gets more of the projects efforts donated. AND it gets tax benefits for the company itself, and maybe can help a bit.
Let me know what you think of this idea.

Here's to hoping all goes well! Just tell them you'll accept their price if they will donate part of their profits to the Red Cross. Of course, don't be demanding about it. Just ask them to consider it. That way they don't have to come down any more and they can do a good deed in the process(outside of making a good deal for a good project).

Relax. There is an objective reality, and a snow job will always be a snow job. I am utterly an athiest. Others are utterly religious. I can work with religious who bind to the famous suggestion "faith without works is dead". I celebrate all atheists, agnostics and sceptics who want to work on this project, do other charitable works or contribute to the charities of their choice for American relief from Hurricane Katrina. You™ wrote:I never said or meant that Scott.
