Thanks Andy for the great compressor, I'm really happy for my purchase! It was definitely not a let-down, perfect for club oriented music!

I've just replied to your email, do you mind if I make your email and the reply public? It's regarding license transfer so I think everyone might be interested.

No problem at all. Just don't post my e-mail address obviously ;)

Thanks for replying my mail Andrew Simper, still waiting for my copy though (24hrs limit has been crossed in my case).

Sorry for the preasure but I'm in the middle of a mixing session since yesterday and every time I close REAPER I need to set up the compressor again.

Thanks for your time.

NOTE: please, remember to send it to the mail address I provided in the mail you answered.

Hi Andy

Congrats on Glue. Quite intrigued by it and may considering buying it but I was just wondering what your sales policy is at this time. Will it be NFR or are users allowed to sell their license on in the future if they don't want/need it any more. If so... do you have any license transfer fees etc.

I always like to know if I'm locking myself into something before purchase.

Thanks,
Colin

The problem with transfers is that once you have a copy of The Glue I can't stop you from running it, so in effect you selling it on means you still get to run it unless you want to invite me over to your place and do an extensive search of all dvds / hds / usb keys etc, which just isn't an option.

I have to think about how to handle license transfer, but for now there are none. If this is a requirement for you buying the plugin then please *don't buy it*. If I had a dongle system then I would definitely offer transfers since you would not be able to run the plugin without the dongle, so perhaps wait until then to make your purchase if you are keen to transfer your license.

I'll check on that now, I did sent out links to your build this morning so perhaps something went wrong.

My mistake, sorry for the wait, I uploaded all the builds then forgot to send the email out. You should have just received an email :)

Andy

Thanks for the info. Really appreciate it. $100 is a lot to spend on something that's still essentially a BETA so I'll give it a miss considering there's no get out clause further down the line.

Thanks anyway.

Cheers,
Colin

Is there one e-mail address per serial? He would be able to run his copy even after a transfer (assuming he didn't delete it), but the new owner (with a new serial number and e-mail) would be the one able to update and upgrade the plug-in. And it is nice to assume the honesty of one's customers until there's reason to believe otherwise. :)

I was just thinking exactly the same thing.

Thanks, I just received it. I'll keep on touch with you if I find something (bugs), have a nice day.

One question, if you update it will you send all users their new builds automatically? Right now is v1.0.7

Yes I agree that I will always consider my customers as behaving honestly, otherwise they might as well just use a crack. It's just a matter of thinking up what is fair, eg a time restriction of a few months before transfer or something just to encourage the very few people that might want to take advantage of The Glue not being dongle protected.
