One more thing, if you've assigned a tom to a slot in GM mode you sometimes have to "Set Articulation" - just by clicking on that button and then choosing whether you want it to be the center or rim there... this is an extra step for flexibility because GM doesn't usually have multiple articulation/positions for a tom. But you could, for example, take the 6 slots of GM and make a THREE tom set with every other note doing center and rim - to get more expression out of GM for example... closer to IMAP which is more powerful (but not the same standard compatibility with so many things). A lot of options with the GM.Squids wrote:The Toms and Cymbals need to be assigned to SLOTS and you can choose which tom and cymbal you want to play in which place in the GM or V-Drum map. They should have already been assigned... but if they are not it takes 2 seconds to just click the drop down on that tom or cymbal where it says SLOT and pick one!megadude wrote:just curious, but is anyone having any troubles with the Led Zeppelin inspired hybrid kits from the previous group buy? (Here is how many drums we get -- I still haven't played all the hybrid kits from the last one! Woo doggies!) I noticed that the toms and the crash cymbal aren't triggered when I hit notes, but it looks like they are receiving midi signals. So far, these are the only hybrid kits that have this problem over here. For example, the lofizepplin one. The bass drum, high-hat, and snares play, but the toms and the crash don't.
The closest thing to a manual right now for this is the Drum Masters Signature Kit TOUR that I did so please go through that to better understand how it works.
Sometimes there are EXTRA toms and cymbals with slots set to off but there conveniently to turn on and assign if you want.
A Drum Masters 2 Signature Kits manual will be coming soon with more information. Everyone in the GB 1 and 2 will be able to get this manual.

We'll do a sweep through it again and make sure everything is assigned... someone missed that on a few kits apparently. But, still, it is easy to do and good for anyone using GM to learn this so you have the options you'll want... we're not going to make it ready to go for every type of option (3 tom sets with two positions, 6 tom sets with each being a different pitch etc.)... we're going to pick one. That one IS intended to be assigned though so sorry about that. Minor thing really.

We have a 500 Gigabyte, 7200 RPM 2.5 size drive we call the "Infinite HD". It has FW800, FW400 and USB2. We sell it for $249 with all your Infinite sounds loaded onto it for you. $199 for the 250 gb version. We'll have that actually on the site to purchase some time this week.HTBoogie wrote:I've got to get a new hard drive for all of this stuff.

Thanks.
I recently brought a 1TB Seagate USB Drive for this reason and have spent this weekend cleaning up my machine and moving my libraries to the external drive. This didn't work out for me. More than anything, loading samples from USB Drive was painfully slow (once loaded, they were fine). I have since moved all the stuff that doesn't need to perform to the external drive and put the libraries back on my PC's D: drive so it was no biggie.
My problems may stem from it being a cheap drive (specs not published but might be 5400RPM, although, my computers hard drive is also 5400RPM...go figure). I'd certainly recommend looking at a firewire drive, but also make sure it is a 7200RPM drive (although USB2 is meant to be 480KB/sec and Firewire is only meant to be 400KB/sec so, on spec, USB2 should be faster).
This might just be my setup and system...others may have had better experiences.

Squids, is it possible to ask Allen to cancel SONOR as a choice from USD 2 GB and get another?
Thanks!

THanks Squids, I'll check this out! Looks helpful. I haven't really looked under the hood yet so to speak. I downloaded kontakt player really just for the groupbuy, and have no previous experience with it or the infinity player.

Does somebody use Drums Masters with Jamstix ?
I suppose you have to stick to GM layout. Does it sounds well anyway ?

@Bassman - I misunderstood the question, I think you asked if Allen has a Spam Filter activated. Well, he hasn't responded to my Email describing my problem and I sent that 2 days ago. Guess he's just taking an easter break or so...

Either sub-host the Kontakt Player in Jamstix or enable midi out in Jamstix and put it before the Kontakt player in your track\plugin chain.X-dark wrote:Does somebody use Drums Masters with Jamstix ?

Subhosting would allow you to user Jamstix' sounds alongside the DM ones if you should want to. Using the midi-out method mutes Jamstix' internal sounds.
Then create a new kit\edit an existing one in Jamstix and change the note # of each piece to match the Drum Masters i-map. Then save that kit under a new name.
It's been working well for me.
When using midi-out it might seem confusing because the name of the Jamstix kit piece will stay there (ie 14" Piccolo Snare), but it will bypass this internal sound and trigger the DM one.
When subhosting, you have to select "subhosted" for each piece and it will show that instead of a piece name.
