I think the cats add to it. Mostly we get pages of speculation, mixed in with some beta tester news, and cats.
Of the three the speculation is by far the most tiring. Give me only cats and news and I'd be happy. Ban cats? yet let people keep on speculating about whether or not Bitwig exists, is the answer to all their problems, gave them VD, will not be as mature as Live, is a copy of Live, won't catch up to Live, has already surpassed Live even before release, has already failed because they have a long beta phase, will still be buggier than Live even though there's a long beta phase etc. etc. etc. yeah that makes sense?

Nah I'm not with ya and picking something you can jump on selectively doesn't say much either. You've even gone off saying/adding things were never said... expectations that were never expected, I'm not trying to speed up anything.. expecting something IS NOT an irrational demand, you can try and argue this all day long, but you are pulling at straws... and this nonsense about "NOT" trying to sell products, I don't even know where to begin, you jumped the subject from the issue being discussed- that they've announced something really early and changed the testing procedure with little explanation, that's the issue among others, not when or whether they're selling a product... they're a making a product for sale, your remarks on this are just weird, it doesn't take a genius to understand... but clutching over phrases used, there is no point here...you are not making a point... and still calling people names and making up false persecution, this shows YOUR character, "not anything about Bitwig". It seems to me that because you are beta tester, you've taken it upon yourself to defend Bitwig regardless of whether they need to be defended or not, but you shouldn't be calling people "whiny" or "spoiled brats" regardless... that's totally unwarranted, and unhelpful at best, I mean you've got nothing to say and nothing to add.pdxindy wrote:It is an irrational demand. Cause making it will not speed it up in the slightest. Saying Bitwig sucks, are bad developers, they should let anyone use it RIGHT NOW cause they want it, should not have announced it etc etc is all just whiny spoiled brat behavior. The amount of negativity towards Bitwig in this and other threads is ridiculous and unwarranted and shows the character of the posters, not anything about Bitwig.humanbeingbeing wrote:Now, it may be popular to frame that like some irrational demand, but it's really not, they're trying to sell us a product, I want to buy it, I want to know whether it really will be a replacement for Live, which I need really badly... I'm not going to jump up and down demanding it, but I still want it.
And you are wrong, Bitwig is NOT trying to sell you a product. They are developing a product. Once it is for sale, THEN they are trying to sell you a product.

I'll vote for news and cats!machinesworking wrote:I think the cats add to it. Mostly we get pages of speculation, mixed in with some beta tester news, and cats.

Now, let's ask the cats what they think!

They can change their testing procedure whenever they want. It's their project, and not yours. There is no issue except your petty sense of self entitlement when you are not doing any of the work to stick your nose in and try to tell the people doing work what to do. Don't like how they do it? Go make your own host... Oh wait, that would be some actual work.humanbeingbeing wrote:you jumped the subject from the issue being discussed- that they've announced something really early and changed the testing procedure with little explanation, that's the issue
I'm not a betatester for Bitwig.humanbeingbeing wrote:It seems to me that because you are beta tester

I've never understood this. Why is it petty or self entitled? Oh I understand you don't agree with his POV, but I don't understand why it's petty of self entitled?

They can change their testing procedure whenever they want. I can feel and say however I want about that. Nice one on the work fallacy, so I'm whiney, petty, spoiled, self entitled, and lazy now... haha, you're a lunatic.pdxindy wrote:They can change their testing procedure whenever they want. Don't worry there won't be any more communication from me, why would I waste any more time-- I've got no actual work to do and I want to get back to my self entitled world of making music and whining about long release cyclestrimph1 wrote:humanbeingbeing wrote:They can change their testing procedure whenever they want.
