See page 27-28 of the Iris 2 Reference Manual. http://help.izotope.com/docs/izotope-ir ... manual.pdf

There are several algorithms that you can select from for sample playback that can use resampling or pitch-shifting to map the keyboard, or you can leave it at "fixed".

Additionally, the root note is detected when you import the sample, but you can reset it as you wish.

You cannot save/export the sample. You'd have to trigger Iris with MIDI and resample the output and figure out the loop points. If you want to crossfade loops you'd be better off with a tool like Audacity, Sound Forge, etc..

I recently got Iris 2 and I'm wondering how you get the sample libraries?

The link in the manual doesn't work and there's no Sound Libraries on the website either.

Have you tried the iZotope Product Portal app?

If you go to Add-Ons in your Account, you should find the Iris content downloads there.

@Gamma-UT and @zzz00m thanks guys for answering my curiosity.

I cannot believe they are giving away this for free? This is crazy. Iris 2 really seems like an extremely fun instrument, unless it's a complete CPU hog or riddled with serious bugs!?!

Will get it and draw my own conclusions soon.

It’s pretty great. We can only hope this means Iris 3 is imminent. (Which I doubt is true, though.)

Iris is dead and buried and no chance of resurrection or reincarnation.
Well, perhaps reincarnation by another developer.

Dead or alive, it does some nice ocean music, here are two patches derived from field recordings I recently did at the Atlantic ocean in France:

Hmmn, seems to be working fine for me. What problems are you having?
software is a tool that allows us to complete a given task.
social media is full of tools that distract us from a given task.

My thoughts are that if they can get Iris 2 in enough hands with this free offer, then offering a future upgrade to an Iris 3 for a reasonable price might work out.

let's hope so

The only demand I would have for a future version is MPE support... I doubt it will happen though...

If Iris 2 is so CPU heavy I suppose they will require a quantum computer for Iris 3

I should have added that it dead but its ghost is alive and thriving and making great music.
