u can even use the length of the notes to control the efx's triggering.
i mean, as long as the note is pressed down, the efx is "played", and by releasing the note, the efx is turned "off", by using NicFits note2cc v2.
by controling the mix knob on yer efx plugins u dont even need the switcherpack either, but there can involve some clicks by doin this. dunno why really, as the only thing that gets controlled is the mixing knob.

i can make u a eXT project file for it later today, if u want. im sure many more than me/we have had these thoughts and built their own setups in eXT as well, but ill throw something together anyways. 
i usually use the switcher stuff to trigger efx live instead of sequencing them, but when to think of it, randomizing notes in a seq to trigger the efx, can be even more fun.
