Well I hope you don't mind but I'd like to gather a few more opinions before giving details about the signal chain, so people will be less influenced.

I give your clip 9/10, so if it is AT2, you have my full respect for posting the first good AT2 hi gain sound that i would want to use.

BTW that is such a cheesy ass riff to,, BEcause there was a whole second half that I did which was real quick triplets,(think Battery, form Metallica) Real tight on the disc too , and when MW sent me his initial take that part sounded like crap, NO chunk, no crispness at all, And no surprise he didnt post that part of it,, Thats where I was talking about how ampsims can't reproduce fast picking like a real Tube amp(a page or so back),, Not even close!!

Thanks - this is a very nice sound, but can you please disable all effects and post a "naked amp" clip ?

What guitar, preamp, di box ?

It is good, but there is hinch of transistor sound within, like Boss overdrive or something. I am sure AT2 is not bad at all and we should all give a time for good presets to be created. ALthough, I must say, it is not mindblowing as it was announced.

Maybe there's some unintentional reverb on cabinet and microphone impulses ?

Yeah. GR2 has got that "Air" parameter on the speaker sims as well - which I actually like a lot because it seems to quite help having a guitar sit in a mix well without having to deal with reverbs that usually don't do a good job on such sorts of rooms.
But you can turn it down entirely in GR2.
