Very interesting sound, where is more info about that woodwind/brass synth?Yossarian wrote:I've actually been more impressed by apps like Synful Orchestra and the woodwind/brass synth that arwa is working on (check out the mp3 demo at www.f.kth.se/~arwa02/vsti_demo.mp3 - there are definitely instances that would have me fooled). PM is not the only synthesized game in town.
The free VSTi PM Saxophone : Sax-o-phunk (beta available)

A song with Sax-o-Phunk acquitting itself quite nicely without a wind controller, sadly, but using a trumpet section of Miles'Tone, too, and in general using only freeware VSTi

Guido has a day job and a life - we despaired of his finishing MilesTone for a long while, but he came back and wrapped it up nicely. I'm counting on him to do the same with Sax-o-phunk. But it's always good to give these threads a bump, to remind him that we care.

The attack is a little wanky on the slow swells, but the overall effect is wonderful!ben_horwood wrote:BTW have you heard the demo of version 2 of the Stradivarious violin... Awesome

Guido owns the implicit copyright to his betas, and I don't think it would be right for one of us to re-publish them unless he explicitly authorizes it. In any case, I think it may actually be a good sign that he's taken the old betas down - it suggests that he's at least thinking about the instrument again, and if he's taking down the old beta, perhaps it's because he's preparing something better. I certainly hope so!

I think I remember him saying in another thread that he wasn't planning to release this. Not 200% though..
