@nexus; +1. it's one of the things that i would like to do. i think it is probably some SDK level thing, where they give the licensed companies the tools of the editor to make the stuff. i bet those tools are not free to them either.
it'd be great to be able to make our own macros and put images and stuff in for presets we make, etc.

Ha, no bonus disc yet....no new downloadable products...no 'cool things happening' over at esoundz, and the week shall soon be ending.Squids wrote: We've just beefed up our sales, support, shipping and web development department quite a bit. You'll be seeing a lot of downloadable sound products happen starting next week (including this bonus disc) and there will be other cool things happening on www.esoundz.com over the coming days.

The cool things happening on esoundz relate to an onslaught of new downloadable products which are coming within the coming weeks possibly starting as early as next week.
We also have a surprise for Sonik Synth 2 owners who also have SampleTank 2.5
Pre-orders for SampleMoog will start some time this month.
Anyone purchasing SampleTank 2.5 XL from www.esoundz.com (or the upgrade) will receive not only our exclusive bonus disc download for free but also an extra bonus disc (an Expansion Tank) that is part of IK's promotion for the launch of the product.
That's a lot! Hang in there.

Okay, I'll tell you what it is. It's new combi patches using SS2 sounds within the new ST2.5 effect structure. These are atmospheric type sounds mostly. Now, we're going to have a large set that is for sale as a download (not too much though) but also, no worries, a set of them for FREE for everyone as well. Oh, yes, of course the large set that is for sale will be offered FREE to anyone who has purchased their SS2 and ST2.X from www.esoundz.com as a thank you. This should be ready in a couple of weeks or maybe sooner.BERFAB wrote:Squids wrote:vespers75 wrote:Zeroed in on this little tidbit from Squids...I LOVE SURPRISES. What's great about these in ST2.5 is that the new effects system allows you to apply a set of inserts to multiple parts at once treating each part like it is an oscillator... great for MEGA patches. Then the other thing for atmospheric sounds is that you have the reverb and delays as send/return with pre/post and that's great for both ambient sounds and also for CPU usage efficiency at the same time.
Yes, someday it's likely SS2 will have an update to have some of these features. I don't know when but you can imagine there will be some. But, for now you can use SampleTank 2.5 for this and anyway there are other things that ST2.5 can do that SS2 will never do so... hopefully you have SampleTank 2.5 and if you don't then go buy it from esoundz right here! http://www.esoundz.com/details.php?ProductID=259

I must say that the new combi patches really are my favorite thing about ST2.5. I've said it here before, but it really is like getting a whole new synth, considering that many new synths only come with a couple hundred patches. The new ST2.5 comes with 200 brand-spankin' new combi's.
And NOW, Squids and Co. are just piling 'em on for us SS2 owners too. Pretty sweet.
Especially since SS2 is still (I think) one of the largest single repositories of vintage synth samples. No one is programming new patches for any of these old synths anymore, 'cept for our buddy Squidsy. And no-one ever combined the sounds from all of these classic machines together to create new patches. Very cool.
I DO love surprises...
Cheers

And the week ends today...and no bonus disc. I wish I could say that I'm surprised, but I'm not. I understand you guys have alot of stuff on your plate to release soon, but you said you guys beefed up and hired more help, right? What do the new employees do all day....make coffee? I'm not trying to sound like a dick or anything, its just that I get tired of these companies that make claims about release dates and don't deliver. First the bonus disc was to be released a week ago, then it was supposed to be released this week, then you said by the end of the week....and nothing. At this point I'm pretty much giving up on this, and I'll take my money and buy some new samples elsewhere.Squids wrote:

A number of things can cause delays. Unfortunately, some of the new staff didn't work out and we're still looking for the right fit. But, the reason the Bonus Disc was delayed was because of me. I wanted to improve it by adding combi patches taking advantage of the ST2.5 engine's features. It wasn't officially announced, just talked about on the forum here so I think it is worth it taking a little longer for a better product. Plus you get a taste of what a Studiophonik Drum Kit is like with mic mixing (but this kit is even not going to be released in Studiophonik so it is a rare one of a kind thing exclusive for this bonus disc). I am sorry that I said it was coming earlier. It was planned to but plans sometimes change when the reason is good enough and in this case I think it was. It's not like we intend to be misleading or anything. We do our best.
In case anyone wonders if we're sitting around twiddling our tentacles they can consider that besides making a SampleTank 2.5 bonus disc we're also working on: Ocean Way Drums (which is done as of today), Studiophonik, SampleMoog, SampleTron, Studio ProFiles Artist Titles (almost ready just final testing), Studio ProFile Multitrack Titles (coming next), Infinite Instruments (including some for download), downloadable versions of all of our refills, capsules and expansion tanks (available starting some time next week), new RAW Style Pak titles... so, I think we're busy enough!

Can email sales@esoundz.com and ask for the download link. The download link will eventually be put into the product page but you can still get it instead of having it shipped. If you pay shipping and ask for the download link then we can refund the shipping or give you double in epointz (say Squids said on the forum and you'll be good on that offer of double your shipping back in epointz... at least until it is available from the site itself as a download).

My apologies for sounding a bit harsh...I understand you guys got alot on your plate, and I get a bit irritable too easy.Squids wrote:vespers75 wrote:And the week ends today...and no bonus disc. I attempted to order the bonus disk last night, but canceled when I couldn't find the download version as well.

I have to add I LOVE the new combis in 2.5 as well. I haven't had time to go through all of them, but I will, as soon as I have a day off from work.BERFAB wrote:I must say that the new combi patches really are my favorite thing about ST2.5. Really looking forward to these new combis. I used to drool over the huge keyboard rigs of guys like Emerson, Wakeman, & Downs, and SS2 is kind of like having all that gear at hand; but it doesn't take up all the space!

Gives "Twiddly Bits" a whole other meaning... scary stuff and highly inappropriate but hey, it's KVR!
