Yes it sort of got my creative juices flowing again, and because each synth is using 'bits' from the others, it didn't put too much strain on my ability to devote free time to it, which had been a problem for me previously.

The only thing that I am agonising over now is what payment model (if at all) I use on this.. I might possibly think of doing these as donation-ware.

Post

If you are agonizing, why not just go for a donation model. Perhaps a donate and choose another from the S3 range for free or something similar.

I really like the sound and arppegiator on this one.

S3K can do biting acid bass and cool modern electro with ease.

It has a LP and HP filter which when combined with the 'Drive' effect allows for very funky 'vocal' basses. If you scroll down in this thread you can listen to an example.
I love it.

Nah...It sounds great!

Do I hear an S3D there ? Has the 'coercing' been effective then? :D and when can we expect to start making some cha cha rhythms with the vintage beat box ? :D

I want an S3L - Lavalamp to complete the 1970's theme. :D

I had added a demo of some of himalayas patches for the S3C last night but I believe that youtube was having a bit of a to-do, so I may have to resubmit it this evening, really good lush stuff as you might expect from himalaya..

By the way guys, I would still really appreciate some more patch writers coming forward, or even a couple of users to test the pre-release versions

Post

By the way, i hope you all realise that the S in S3 stands for Synth...

Fans of Himalaya's patching work may want to

Firstly, can I just say how much I  this thing.

Secondly, if you are considering changes to, or variations of, S3 can you release one that offers variable key follow on the filters? The high pass/low pass option is great, but I was trying to create a sound that was deep and foreboding at the bottom end, but would cut through at the top end, and couldn't quite get there.

Apologies in advance if it's a stupid idea  and to join in with an earlier discussion, I also love the simplicity of the buttons, but feel it would be a nice option to be able to mix tones.

Anyway, a cracking (krakling?) synth you've made there... :D

Thanks for the suggestion, I actually have a control similar to the one that you describe on my StringZ2, Rticul8r and the never-yet released RMP.
At the moment I have got the S series synths to a stage where I couldn't add this function for fear of my patch-writers strangling me (for progress check out the Youtube videos). But as the S Series will continue to be added to i may be able to build in what you are asking for in a future version.

Sounds good to me! I watched the YouTube clips (although one wouldn't play for some reason) and I'm excited at the prospect of these things coming out - if they're donationware, or even a reasonably-priced shareware bundle, I'll be happy to shell out for them.

Thanks for listening, and keep up the good work!
