I hear it. That's why most of them are in bonus folders. I think the processing did wonders for the sounds, and I only took ones that are very useable when processed.

There are a few hand percussion sounds in the World expansion that sounded really good processed with the Moog MF101, the wet/dry in the middle, and then put into the French Mazda tubes. I'd hate to delete those... I really like them : )

It's not every sound from those machines, of which there are admittedly lame ones. Only the cream, IMHO.

best,

Nathaniel

Yes, that's a good expansion, the very best of the series, IMO. The very fact that I missed that this was included might be a good argument for trimming down your site, don't you think? ;)

Holy Crap. KVR Member #92. What year did this site start?

Sorry, I didn't even think to include the expansion in the gear list. I forget it's extra because it sits inside.

I've been trimming man : )

I may get around to another edit this weekend.

In case anyone is interested, the breakdown is close to this.
(I can only estimate, since everything now is split into type
and texture)

Machine Drum 35%
Korg ER-1 15%
Mo Phatt/DX200 6%
Everything Else 44%

Here's 34 New Free Sounds (for all):

Just started working on some Xtra sounds I'll
be adding to the collection and sending current
owners.

The collection "as is" was designed to be a "bread
and butter" type collection.

These new sounds I'll be getting a little more
extreme with the processing, for people who
like that.

I'll be going in when inspired over the next
couple of weeks, so all you current owners,
keep an eye out for an email. Complimentary,
of course.

cheers-

Nathaniel

yup.. iam very happy with this library! Sounds open, round, warm, and crisp. amount of headroom is a great plus, the sound is basic, and not overprocesed, and for me thats a plus to, because it leaves all the possibilities open to tweak and shape the drums to my taste. for me this is the best electronic drum library on the market today.

I dont get the suspicious tone in this thread... How can you accuse people of so much stuff, if you dont know if your accusements are true? Giving people a negative label till proven otherwise is not a way anybody would like to be treated i think.

If your into electronic drumsounds, and you read the story on Nathaniels website, and after that listen to the demo. you know your dealing with someone thats passionate about his work, and that has achieved to create a great set of drumsounds.

The world would be a better place if people aproached each other with an open mind instead of a head full of prejudgement it think.

I just bought the set. To be honest, I bought it because in reading the the OP's original posts I sensed a strong passion in the project. In my experience the addition of this type of passion usually results in something better than the norm. I didn't read the web site. Maybe I should have. I listed to a few of the demos and read the other reviews. While reading the reviews I found myself wondering if this was "too good to be true" Other longer standing people on the forum have also praised the collection.

For myself I believe the differences seen in the forum discussion are partially due to individual styles of managing risk. With this in mind I considered the price and the risk. Now I'm gonna sit down and listen to them.

At this stage I'm glad I bought them. Thanks to Tonebuilder for putting them together, passion is a great thing. Don't let anyone kill it and seek the higher truth.
