Crysonic Apology

Well, I took them up on their free plug-in offer and had my license in less than an hour -- so no support issues there!
To be perfectly honest, I've never had any support issues with Crysonic, and I've been using their plugins on and off for 5... maybe 6? years.
I'd say this is a good first step towards rebuilding some goodwill with the KVR community. I can't speak for everyone who has a problem with them, but really... free stuff... who else does that? It's a really nice gesture.
This being the intarwebz, though, I can appreciate that even KVR would attract its fair share of trolls who can only interpret this move cynically. I choose to take it for what it is: a company issuing an apology and putting their plugins where their mouth is (so to speak).

thats fair.John-E34 wrote: I for one, would not consider another FREE useless plugin, to make up for the useless plugin I purchased
you would stay mad cuz you bought something that is useless?
this thread cant even keep its arguments straight.
bugs aside, if it works like it should, and like the demo did, how are they in the wrong?
tangibly wronged?

I too have been using Spectralive and Nxt for a long time and have had no problem with plugs or support. I did take up on the free plug gesture and received download link within a couple of hours ,support which is not to be sniffed at IMO. Maybe its time to give the lads a break and work from here on.

Yeah, looks like it generates hardware profile hash number.ttoz wrote:please do let us know as soon as you test it!fandango wrote:nigel_khan: Ah, now I did get that message about hardware changes in the actual Activation email. Hmm... I'll try it on my home PC tonight and see if it's actually hardware locked. Or whether the email is just inaccurate.
You'd have to apply for a new activation code every time. So... yeah, I guess if the company goes tits-up, you'd be stuck in demo mode unless a permanent key was given out.
This is the case with any company that uses this C/R mechanism, and I'm not arguing it to be good or bad (mostly bad for the consumer, I guess), but your decision to purchase would probably be dependant on how much you trust the company. i.e., Native Instruments vs Superwave, etc.
That said, I love SINDO and am prepared to give Crysonic the benefit of the doubt here. As Dubya would say, "There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once — shame on — shame on you. You fool me, you can't get fooled again."

you "would".
as in, you presented a theoretical scenario, and i questioned that you would actually react that way.

I'm just saying that this really contradicts with their good intentions.
Yes, I really can't let it go in that section, but do all of you folks jump on every deal "blindly" because it's "oooh, free stuff"? Especially after what happened with that firm?
I mean, look at the response of them (Crysonic) so far - three posts, nothing else. It's like back in the day yet again, except the fingerpointing and insults. But if you're fine with that, I can't help it. It just makes me... sad.
I really take the plunge for being the negative force in here, but I really, really don't get the blind acception - I'm sorry.
Maybe it's just way over my head, I don't belong in here anymore.

And I'd be surprised if you'd ever say something else than just to apple-polish or pointing fingers to others about their flaws, wavephonic.

I think they pretty much covered those things that needed to be addressed, and want to be given an opportunity to get on with being in business and serving customer needs now and in the future. I think this will all play out in the months to come and we'll get to see how things are going to be.Compyfox wrote:I mean, look at the response of them (Crysonic) so far - three posts, nothing else. I don't see this as blind acceptance. I think everyone acknowledges that there's a past and there's here and now. The company is trying to build bridges, and more than that they can't really do.I really take the plunge for being the negative force in here, but I really, really don't get the blind acception - I'm sorry.

You do belong here. Just suggesting a wait and see position on this.

Just wanna chime in and say that Crysonic has just delivered Spectralive 3.5 to me for FREE. I am a new customer that got in on the AudioMidi deal for $20. I'm sorry for all those that have had bad experiences in the past but it looks like they are really trying to turn things around now. My experience so far has been great - quick response and quality communication. Getting the FREE plug was an added bonus that I didn't expect. Looking forward to trying more products in the future.
