Seriously using Zen; surfing more synthesis than ever before with ease :)

Post

Cool. Brace yourself for the next update, I have some really cool features cooking up :)

I just added some of my Triplecheese and Sakura patches - auto import didn't work for Sakura so I had to add them all manually

I have some for Eve to add but which version is enabled?

People need to upload more stuff - it's inexplicable to me that I'm still listed as having the most presets after Daniel Maurer (who has done so many banks for Rhino and other synths). That can't be right!

A lot of Daniel's presets are commercial, and I still have to do some work for supporting commercial presets in demo mode. Also, many of his presets require additional samples, which are not yet managed by Zen.

Also I deleted a few presets I'd accidentally added twice but they have been flickering for 2 hours now with a "removing" message

hey aMUSEd - 1.3 is the first version of zen that I got working [tried all the previous versions but always uninstalled due to performance issues]

Zen is finally at the point, imo, that I could see only buying synths that are "zenified" as it's become such a useful tool. For instance my interest in twin2 and zebra have grown as they are among the most # of presets in zen. [NOTE:Twin2 presets aren't categorized yet, so it's a bit premature to get exited about it being zenified.]

What I am getting at is that Zen will start driving sales of synths.

Be my guest - Ctrl-click away :)

I had another go at adding Kinisis and it half worked (by saving a patch as a fxp then dragging it into Zen) - this time it loaded without a crash so it is now at least added properly. However when I started importing presets they all had the same name (just Kinisis) so that aspect is still not working (they are not internally in fxp format of course)

Post

Yes, if I remember correctly this is a Kinisis issue, I have notified the developer but maybe I just need to ping him :)

Also, one of the things I have been working on is a way for synth developers to interface directly with Zen - so that they could directly call Zen searches fron within their plugin.

It seems to be taking ages to delete those patches - is it uploading at all? Can everyone see what I've added? (there should be 85 TripleCheese patches, 30 for Sakura, 3 for Kinisis)

Post

aMused, from you, I only have presets for ACE, Pro-53 and Scanned Synth. I can't check what's going on now (I'm off to see Prince at Madison Square Garden, YEAHHHHHHHH), but if you can upload your entire Zen folder somewhere, and send me the link at bigtickaudio@gmail.com, I will have a look at it later tonight.

I also fixed a few things with uploads in the upcoming 1.4.

Have fun

I think the problem is the way I have it set up to use the second computer to connect to the internet. I'll try going back to the direct route. Also some are marked as private and some public - how do I make them all public?
