Received an email this am EDS USA time - from MAGIX Software (Yellow Tools).
They reset my License and I am back up and running.
The basic issue was an bad authorizationcode, etc. The folks at Best Service figured it out.
Overall not a big issue - but without any TECH SUPPORT ASSISTANCE - I was stuck.
Basically could not use the YT software for 5 months.
Big Tip o the Hat to Best Service - they are great!!
Looks like maybe MAGIX has gotten things back on track at Yellow Tools.
Regards - Robert

Been over a week now... no reply yet...
Some have suggested that Bestservice has been helpful, but might it be smarter to contact MAGIX directly instead?

The problem is Yellow Tools, not Best Service. I just had a problem activating TITAN (was given a serial number that the YT registration process wouldn't accept) and the Best Service people got me fixed up within the hour.
Unfortunately, registration and activation of many of the Best Service products still go through YT. Though Magix has bought YT, from what I've heard, the takeover won't be complete until early 2012. Your best bet is almost certainly to contact Best Service until then. If Magix is smart, the first thing they'll do is repackage Engine, etc., under their own brand, try to make people forget YT ever existed, and get somebody active on this forum...

Well, coincidentally, I just received a reply earlier today. So it took well over a month!
Interestingly the reply was from a MAGIX email address, not YT, so I guess they're integrating the support...

Yes, it looks like it. Magix just got back to me, too - a few hours after I submitted a support request through the YT support form (direct email to the YT support address got no reply). Best Service had already given me a replacement serial number, so I no longer needed the help, but it's nice to know that between them, the two companies seem to be holding down the fort now.whitecat.tv wrote:Well, coincidentally, I just received a reply earlier today. I've actually registered on KVR as a result of desperation at the total absence of support.ZombyWoof wrote:From Yellow Tools support page on their websiteIf you did not find the answers for your questions we would like you to contact us directly.
Yellow tools does not offer product support by phone!
Please send us an E-Mail or fax if you have any technical questions regarding our products.
I bought a brand new unwrapped copy of MVI/Culture at Xmas last year. I followed the manual and enjoyed the trial period while I was waiting for the support people at Yellow Tools to respond to a polite enquiry: Having registered the product successfully it became apparent that my original version of culture (copyright 2003) had been superseded by independence which uses a different engine from the original, So eventually with no guidance received, my trial period ended, and I have been trying to get a little support from Yellow Tools ever since - I must hve sent between 10 and 20 emails to every email address I could find in their entire website. Not a single reply have I received. This is erm kinda disappointing, if y'all know what I mean. Anyone have any ideas, beyond hopping on a plane to Berlin?

E-mail magix or best service. Yellow tools support is nonexistant. The 4ncient Mariner wrote: I bought a brand new unwrapped copy of MVI/Culture at Xmas last year. I tried to get permission to sell some of the YT libraries I don't need anymore, didn't get any response and then decided I don't want to pass the harm to someone else.
Unfortunately they are bastards who need some beating up with rusty knife...
so - hope you have any luck with magix or best service.

I'm in the same exact position as you. I want to sell my copy of Independence Pro, but I have no idea who to contact for license transfers these days. I've written Christian (replied a couple of times last year but seems to be avoiding me ever since), license support (lizenzen@yellowtools.de), and Magix (no replies after a couple of weeks now).sauli wrote:...I tried to get permission to sell some of the YT libraries I don't need anymore, didn't get any response and then decided I don't want to pass the harm to someone else...

It's a bit odd.fidox wrote:anyone registered instrument thru product/response code ?
i'm trying but i can't get response code ?
thanks,
best,

I used copy and paste to enter the product code.
It will only copy 4 digits at a time.
After pasting the last 4 digits hit the enter key.
You will notice that there is a line through the get code button on that page.
When I hit the enter key on my keyboard the button became active and the button became clickable.
If you just paste the last numbers and try to click that button nothing will happen.
It took 5-10 seconds for the response code to appear.

I figure out, what was wrong.
Just copy and paste wasn't enough.
First, you must click on any window for entering code and press any key on keyboard,
then windows light up red.
If i just copy and paste, code windows stays white and response code window doesn't shows up, i mean it's disabled.
Everything is fine now.
Also i was able to get nice support from Best Service, before i figured out.
