I don't want a lecture, Hink. I've stated my preference. I'd be extremely surprised if most performing musicians don't agree with me.

Can you imagine if guitar pedalboards required a keyboard, mouse and monitor just to boot up? How popular would that be?
you did not specify 'performing musician' which I think is quite important at a site like KvR and when talking about a host like Reaper and not Live. It's a completely unrealistic comparison and I'm rather at a loss for words because I'm not sure why you would post what you did, in this thread, in this forum on this site.

I can't disagree with you as far as on stage and the proof is in my ever growing collection of tube guitar amps, but again that's a different story :shrug:

I guess I post what I want, when and where I choose. I think I'm pretty adamant about that. If I've violated a TOS, then report me otherwise please adjust your tone. My opinions are mine, and they are valid. I'm a paying REAPER user and a very longtime participant on this board. I am quite sure that if we knew each other in person, we'd get along really well, but obviously not on this forum.

I enjoy your posts, mostly, so I don't want to mute you.

I don't think I would ever consider using Reaper in a live situation, it seems like trying to use a hammer to open a window.

I've actually used Reaper in a live setting. It is definitely an eye opener. :shock: :-o :shock:

Yeah, like I said, a hammer is a great tool, but it is not the most elegant way to open a window. It will do the job, but is not exactly desirable, IMO not the best way to use Reaper. You can't blame the hammer. 'A good workman doesn't quarrel with his tools.' There is a reason why Live is called 'Live' :)

I'm sorry if there was a tone, my original point was simply in a thread about a particular host that is mainly used for recording I think it would have been prudent had you specified that you were talking about perfoming and not recording. I hope everyone that knows me here knows that I'm not about to judge anyone's opinion and I agreed with you after you clarified that. I also do think you (and everyone else) has the right to post about what you want, where you want...but I do think that for clarity sake you take into consideration expressing your context especially when it is not in context with the general conversation or your point might get misinterpreted as it did here.

Now that's not saying you're going off topic or derailing a thread because I am the last one to point fingers at anyone for that. :hihi: I'm just saying had yous said "as a performing musician" as opposed to "as a musician" my response would have been quite different. You must be able to see what would confuse me there, I hope that's not a reason to mute me but it really doesn't matter because I'm a mod in the DIY forum and unfortunately you cannot mute me. If you wish me not to respond to you, while not happy about it, I will comply 100% :shrug:

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I think every DAW has some good qualities, otherwise no one would love them. Since someone finds them beautiful, they all must be beautiful. But then even old ladies are pretty to me.

Actually, this new rado theme is turning me on right now :hyper: Always something missing though. Until I figure out something else the "folders" are controlled more from like the middle of a track on the TCP, which isn't as convenient as the default theme where folders are on the right. I hate having to find a "blank" spot to select/move a track :bang:
