hehe, yeah, that's true. When I recommend the Virus to people, it's usually from the standpoint of getting professional sounding results and not necessarily from standing apart from established standards (which the Virus can do, it's just not usually used that way).4damind wrote:The other thing is: eventually this typical Virus sounds are a bit overused. Listen to Trance around the World (TATW) where I sometimes have the feeling everybody is using the same Virus soundOften one track sounds very similar like the other tracks.

Velocity mapped to "Osc (All) volume)" is not working as expected. The same when mapped to a single oscillator volume. It seems velocity has no effect for the volume?
Mapping to cutoff and stuff is working.

Could you add a feature to the adsr envelopes that would be
something like 1/4th or 1/16th and stuff? I know it can be done my ear/ ms but
adding a tempo-relaed option would be proper cool in my book.

Is there a chance the delay will be a bit improved?
I think of some types like "ping pong" and "Stereo". It would also not bad to have the right-click context menu implemented to selected direcly the note values for synced delays.
Btw. is the preview player also supporting velocity values? This would be useful for a lot of sounds.
I miss a bit a sub-oscillator. Often 2 oscillators are not enough.
The GUI has enough room to add another oscillator button and give it a different color or a label "sub" or if it's easier to implement one (or better two) additional oscillators so one can be used for such stuff.
Btw. Mousewheel is not supported yet?

Prolly do. What i mean is an option to set decay to like 1/16 or something in relation to the tempo at hand, say 128 bpm. Or let the attack setting of an envelope rise up over the length of 1/2/3/4 steps etc.philterino wrote:not sure how that would work with ADSRs do you mean G-ENV?loopdon wrote:Yay or nay, philterino?loopdon wrote:A thought i had:

You can look at synthsquad for an example, their envs are tempo syncable like this. Might also be nice to have an option to have all env's be loopable like the genv, it lets you come up with some nice effects without having to use up the genv for it

@ezelkow1: That is exactly what i mean. It's also in FL Studio's sampler channels. You can let the pitch rise up over the length of 2 steps or wahtever.
Or set attack to 2 steps (instant sidechain

Hey there Sonic Academy,
I was interested in the ANA synth and immediately noticed some nit-picky errors in your "Educational" video about the ANA Synth ...
I just watched the second video on "Filters" (Where they create a "Mini-Moog" sound with the ANA Synth):
A) You claim the classic Mini-Moog sound uses a 2-pole (12db) filter. Unless my involvement with synthesis the past 30 years is wrong, Vintage Moogs were FAMOUS for their 4-Pole (24db) filters.
B) Also, it is pronounced like "Mogue", rhymes with "Vogue" (not "Mooooooooog" like a cow
I am not trying to be a jerk, though, I am concerned that if a developer doesn't know the basic 101 facts about the MOST FAMOUS SYNTH IN HISTORY, there's virtually no chance that the filter slopes and ratios are even close to being accurate?
Maybe I am incorrect... I don't want to sound like a jerk, but, I feel that there might be other true synth enthusiasts that agree with me... Maybe I am just getting old (*Shakes fist at kids on his lawn who think a Virus TI sounds like a real analog synth*).
I also understand that recreating vintage synth sounds is not the purpose of this synth. I also know that Sonic Academy is a very influential organization in the world of new producers, and, I guess my point is that I just hope you guys can steer people in the right direction about synth history, so, new musicians aren't fed incorrect information right from the start of their journey into synthesis.
Or, just at least pronounce the man's name right (Moog), he's earned that much.
/ Sorry, end rant.
