Yeah, will stick to Ohmicide too. No money for another distortion. :/

Oh my, is this the replacement for Reason's Scream that I have always longed for in Cubase!!??? Checking this out very soon! :)

Here is another quick and dirty demo processing NI's Jaybass also using Studio Drummer as sidechain source for modulating some parameters - this Plug-In is a killer! You can dl the sidechain preset here.

It sounds friken ace with Vir2 Electri6ity as a guitar amp but I already got Amplitube, might consider it as a cleaner guitar amp sim or for doing strange guitar amps.

Watching the demo video, this is one of the few times I've actually felt NEED rather than WANT :hihi: Not that the sounds in the demo particularly excite me, but it's enough to show what it can do.

Bloodshot red and cornflour blue has to be the weirdest colour combo I've ever seen in a plugin, though.

I have slept for like 15 hours, woke up and this is released. All those late nights in the studio have actually done me a favour (for once).

Anyways, off to play with this thing :hihi:

Demo with a 2-Band setting, in the upper band there is a LFO-controlled smudge effect, I like the smudge :)
DL the preset here.

It's awesome that the rest of the world gets a chance to try Saturn. I'm absolutely completely in love with this plugin!

It's incredibly versatile, especially when combined with Volcano 2. With those two plugins in various combinations you can make almost any brutal processing you could ever wish for.

Here is an example of the more subtle side of Saturn. I'm basically using it to beef up a loop I edited in micro tonic.

uTonic Loop, no processing

uTonic Loop, beefed up with Saturn

I think the guys at FabFilter really nailed the sound of the saturation. It's never overly harsh and always very useful, even in small doses. Combine all this with the envelope followers and LFO's and you have a seriously flexible system.

Cheers!

This thing feels pretty special...
I dont know if it can compete with Ohmicide on the dirtier end in the long run,
But,

Shit, yes.
Its covering a wide range from inaudible 'flavor' to total destruction. What Im liking is that there are some very subtle things to be had in the middleground, which is super interesting.

Yeah. Its the less extreme setting that sound really nice, and new, to me.
The brutal end has already been covered by other plugs pretty well, imo. This might not do anything super new there, but it sounds very sweet when not on "11".
Price is.. ok I guess. No reason to complain. It seems a reasonable price. At least Im not conflicted about a it. Thats even worse. :D
Xoxos Water is first though! And is only ten bucks...
