I don't think Krim was being flash, 20 secs is quite a long time to find the filter section, I think he kept missing it too...bailees7irish wrote:wow...Kriminal wrote:took me 20 seconds to find the filter freq knob....breakmixer wrote: *Filter section doesn't have a 'filter' label like the osc, arp, lfo and envelope sections do...?

i was using the other skin...the filter section def needs more definition, and i think the 'radiactive' knobs dont help, the donty actually look like knobsbreakmixer wrote:It was right in front of me - but I kept missing it, may be the bright orange, took me quite a while to spot it, was on savihost/netbook scrolling up/down also...Kriminal wrote:took me 20 seconds to find the filter freq knob....breakmixer wrote: *Filter section doesn't have a 'filter' label like the osc, arp, lfo and envelope sections do...?
definately needs labeling though....for daft lads like me...
edit: using the orange skin its much more apparent, i actually think i prefer that skin, its not as bright as the screenshots from earlier.
edit2: i think the wavefrom shape looks too blurred when they are off (ie the backgrpound is balck and the shape is white) and so does some of the text.

do you mean in the mod section, it cuts in half - only moving one side. just found that out...jbuonacc wrote:the joystick is broken.Lotuzia wrote:All comments welcomed

No it moves both sides - it functions as both mod wheel and expression in one dimension (hence the split) and pitchbend in the otherbreakmixer wrote:do you mean in the mod section, it cuts in half - only moving one side. just found that out...jbuonacc wrote:the joystick is broken.Lotuzia wrote:All comments welcomed

Why not adding a label. There was one in the original design.breakmixer wrote:It was right in front of me - but I kept missing it, may be the bright orange, took me quite a while to spot it, was on savihost/netbook scrolling up/down also...Kriminal wrote:took me 20 seconds to find the filter freq knob....breakmixer wrote: *Filter section doesn't have a 'filter' label like the osc, arp, lfo and envelope sections do...?

Labels like LP12/24/BP6/12/HP and frequency should say that the main filter is here, but it might be a good idea to add a label as well.
Dual concentric knobs, and especially flower design are new. But once you get the concept, very fast and intuitive to use ( and 20 seconds well its not so bad really ) Hopefully in some hours/days/weeks some of you will wonder how they could have lived without. This is -sadly

Would be better for demoing/new users/newbies...Lotuzia wrote:Why not adding a label. There was one in the original design.

Ok, just looked a bit glitchy - but not.Lotuzia wrote:

Expression is the sum of : Breath Controler, Monophonic Aftertouch, Polyphonic Aftertouch ( Oxium receives and uses Polyphonic Aftertouch )
Why ? because this way, people who use a wind controler for example, will have the same modulations than those using a keyboard, without having to modify each patch.

Envelopes are not very quick, the idea seems to be more to have a analoge behaviour? Mono Legato with priority is included (great).
Filters are good, same with Unison implementation and stereo spread etc.
Preset management is ok, it remembers me a bit to Arturia
Waveform stacking is a interesting feature.
The delay sync times are bit hard to understand, I wished instead of a factor it would have also a display as note values like 1/8, 1/8d etc.
Interesting, easy to use synth so far. I would say there is nothing missing this time.

i know how it works, but it's "broken". as breakmixer said, when you go to use it the "handle" graphic splits in half and it only moves to the right side. pretty odd, seeing as it's on two other Xils synths. you'd think they'd have it down by now.aMUSEd wrote:No it moves both sides - it functions as both mod wheel and expression in one dimension (hence the split) and pitchbend in the otherbreakmixer wrote:do you mean in the mod section, it cuts in half - only moving one side. just found that out...jbuonacc wrote:the joystick is broken.Lotuzia wrote:All comments welcomed
unfortunately, i'm not sure how i feel about it just yet. i'll probably end up buying it either way just to support Xils Lab, but i'm not too excited about it. i'll spend some more time with it tonight. overall i like it, but i'm not sure it offers much for me over their other synths. sounds very nice though.

ADSR should be obvious its an envelope, but you have labels for thoseLotuzia wrote: Why not adding a label. There was one in the original design.

dual conc knobs have been around for years, even Bones uses them in his SE synthsLotuzia wrote: Dual concentric knobs, and especially flower design are new.

Is the Mouse-wheel support broken? (PC)
Btw. it's very CPU heavy also without Unison (IMO needs more resources than Diva).
