Yeah, waiting is the plan pretty much no matter what. That's ok, I won't have time to play with them for a while anyways.bob bobwood wrote:what on earths a mac ? lol. Was there a choice of pc or mac ? sorry, it's like I just don't see those things, so you perhaps should look for a repair utility for mac. Or is it a case of they never go wrong so there is no such thing as a repair utility for mac.
Joking aside, it doesn't appear to be limited offer so I'd give it another 24 hours.

If you register with this code at Waldorf, they will send you the download link via email...Teksonik wrote:That provides a way to get a reg code but how does one download....or am I missing something?androidlove wrote:WOW, thanks for the heads up. Hmmm not my week for freebies I guess. Downloaded and installed the Waldorf Edition LE and any of the plugins crash Reaper and Orion before they even load their gui......can't even enter the reg code. Oh well deleted. I used to own the full PPG and sold it years ago....think I can live without it and Attack.

I use REAPER, too, and the Waldorf Edition LE works fine there. So it seems that it has to do with your OS, not with REAPER. I have the old-fashioned Windows XP SP3...Teksonik wrote:Hmmm not my week for freebies I guess. Me too WinXP SP3....it's not just Reaper it's Orion too so it's not the host's fault....didn't bother to try Sonar X-1 or FL Studio. Anyway it's deleted now....Tricky-Loops wrote:I use REAPER, too, and the Waldorf Edition LE works fine there. So it seems that it has to do with your OS, not with REAPER. Same problem with Reaper 4 and Win XP 32. Reaper immediately crashes on every attempt to load the plug-ins. May be a problem with the license dialog, I'm going to try to run these in Tracktion 3.Teksonik wrote:Me too WinXP SP3....it's not just Reaper it's Orion too so it's not the host's fault....didn't bother to try Sonar X-1 or FL Studio. The Waldorf plugs crash on me too; Reaper, EnergyXT, Livelite... XP32sp3.
Wisespread problem I'd say.

Worth what? Time spent downloading? I happen to have those runtimes installed (they were required by some software I have) and I can say I have no problems running those Waldorf plugs. Visual C++ runtimes will do you no harm and are free.

Some clever dude over at Bedroom Producer's Blog found you can get the Waldorf plugs to work by entering your info into the registry manually. I had the same problem with them crashing everyting I tried to open them in and this got them functioning.
NB the part about not leaving the dashes in the serial# is really important -- I missed it on my first try () and just got a different error message when they crashed.
