GForce is a U.K. company so yes, the funny looking "L" that you're seeing stands for GBP.
So are my calculations right? If they are, $330 is a good chunk of change for all those sounds but I guess worth it considering what had to be done to get them in the first place. I always wanted to own a Mellotron but could never afford one.
You can also buy it through Sweetwater or some other websites

When I checked yesterday, 49 pounds was $60.45, so Streetly Tapes vols 1-3 from GForce are about $180. If you buy them from Sweetwater, they're $240.

Pegasus? There was a prog band called Pegasus from Buffalo, NY in the late 70s/early 80s. Hmmm...

That is probably the same band. They did other covers and some originals.

I noticed that. Sweetwater's prices are a lot more than the main site.

Any US buyers still looking for a cheaper deal... The USD is slipping against the EUR and GBP, so its becoming less favorable to wait any longer.

New expansion Streetly m300 just launched, half price for a week:

Love the pianos and organs. I need an Mellotroninator effect for all my stuff. BTW, wrt. price USD fluctuations, you can get a little discount at JRR as well...
You need to limit that rez, bro.

indeed, i've noticed, and assume not being the only one...

The JRR "youtube" discount is still more than buying directly from GForce for Volumes 1-3. 49 pounds is about $62-$65 right now depending on how you pay. JRR and Sweetwater want $79.

Yes some of the expansio prices are more than gforce, so direct conversion doesn't work always... but keep in mind PP takes an additional 2.5% on top of market, so some things can be cheaper. For example m-ton + m300 is £117+15 = £132 × (1.267×1.025) = $171 ... vs $150+19 = $169 × 0.89 = $150 ...

So depends on what ur buying and how...

Just bought M-Tron Pro, with the Optigan, Orchestron and all 3 Streetly Tapes expansion packs -- that's a 6.3 GB download of mellotron. Over the years I tried quite a few other mellotron's, sample packs, EZkeys... and (in my opinion) they don't come close. Not even in the sense of one-mile-radius-close. The M-Tron is absolutely gorgeous, immersive... An instant teleport to days long gone. And yes, it sometimes sounds raspy or even lo-fi (esp the wonderful Optigan), but that's what a mellotron (and Optigan) *was*. If you want clean, go buy OmniSphere -- gorgeous synth, no doubt about it, but simply a different animal altogether.
You want Genesis' Watcher of the Skies, or TD's Phaedra, KC's Wake of Poseidon? All those sounds are there. And the patch programmers have done an amazing job creating new tron sounds from old, layering and filtering originals, and basically doing what the likes of Tony Banks did in the 70ies. It comes with tons and tons of patches.
As for customer support: I had a weird glitch with my M-Tron installation -- interface of the plugin didn't show properly. I mailed them, and got an instant reply. No-one at Gforce had ever seen this glitch before. The guys were extremely helpful, we mailed back & forth a few days, and in the end the problem was solved.
So that's thumbs up :tu: for sound, functionality and customer support. Yes, it costs a few bucks, but boy is it worth it...
Mac, Logic, some synths, software, stuff and unstuff, with and without knobs

I recently reinstalled AIR's Structure 2, and I was checking out many of the samples it has once again. I forgot that it has some Mellotron sounds licensed from GForce in there.
They sound great of course. :)

I recently did a prog rock project and specifically got this thing in order to do it.

Here's the opening track complete with Mellotron finale.

Lots of classic references in this one including ELP and Genesis.

Was some of the most fun I had in a long time doing this collection.

I know you already have the GForce plugin, but the AIR deal is good for some great sounds at a low price. Structure 2 has some of the main Mellotron sounds in it.
