DDMF is going to release THE STRIP

I have a DDMF account with several plugins. Does this Strip (via Beat mag) can be added to it or it is seperated from the usual customer account over there?
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

As far as I understand The Strip doesn't have to be authorized in any way, I just unpacked the zip, placed the dll in my vst folder and loaded up in FL Studio. No nag screen about registration.
The oversampling option seems to be turned on by default in the plug, but this leads to a lot of static/buzzes in my FL Studio.
Why does the manual recommened it be switched on ?

Oversampling is advised to be left switched on. Oversampling doubles the sample rate of the audio within the plug-in. This is to reduce aliasing caused by non-linearities, this can occur when non-linearities are generated at a higher frequency than the sample rate of the project and are reflected around this point.

Yes, the zip file is password protected, you get the password by requesting it for issue 112 at this site: http://www.serialcenter.de/el-bo (formerly ebow) wrote:don't you need a serial to unzip ?? there must be some way we can have our copy verified should we ever need support

The receipt for buying the mag would be proof.el-bo (formerly ebow) wrote:yeah...so that's the registration, no ?
But getting magware is like buying stuff from a third party dealer.
If in need of support you usually need to contact the third party dealer first, before contacting the dev.
But why get worried up front, the plug works fine here.
No registration also means you can use it on as many computers you want too.

But this plug doesn't come with a preset manger?
It's not a major letdown, but nice to be able to handle presets in a dedicated manager, I'm not so happy with the default one in FL Studio.

I`m not sure, but it looks like this to me:murnau wrote:I have a DDMF account with several plugins. Does this Strip (via Beat mag) can be added to it or it is seperated from the usual customer account over there?
magware is separated from your regular account.
If you buy the regular retail, it is associated to your provided mail
and therefore you are eligible for support and updates
(stored at your DDMF account).
Magware is associated to a mag, Beat in this case,
support and update relates on the generosity of the dev.
Christian may send an update to Beat and they may send this update
to the registered users of the serialcenter, maybe not.
Also, he may give support, maybe not.
In reply to "itnervis" as well,
thats the difference I see between regular retail and magware.
But again, I am not sure and at a wild guess.
@Numanoid
I am still a bit puzzeled about the flickering VU needle on idle (pc).
Are you on mac or pc and do you have buzz on playback and idle as well ?
I can`t hear noise, but a flickering VU needle may indicate this.

Thanx Omkar. I'm afraid thats exactly the case. I dunno if i want that but the low price is tempting.

I'm using the 32 bit VST version on PC.Omkar wrote:I am still a bit puzzeled about the flickering VU needle on idle (pc).

I can hear no noise when the plug is idle, but I get noise if I choose Oversampling option putting audio through the plug. So I turn off the Oversampling option to get rid of the noise.
The VU needle meter of the compressor is jiggering a little when the compressor is turned on, also when the plug is idle.
But I wonder if this is due to cosmetic reasons, wanting to give the plug some ancient analog feel

But assumed we have to stick with v1.02 forever, it is still worth to have to my opinion.
I wish Christian chimes in and gives some clarity.
