You can get Codex for $55,90 by mailing salesteam with the EA50 code and saying that you want Codex. Check my previous post where i link to another KVR thread.

I suppose not, no. Why would you?Numanoid wrote:So I will be a saint if I buy the Schepes plug, using only $12,5 of the voucher worth?paterpeter wrote:You're greedy because you are complaining that your present is only worth $25 and you feel entitled for a present worth $50.
No, I don't even like them too much in the first place. Every serious newsletter system has an unsubscribe link in the e-mail, so I thought it could be useful to point that out - even though it wouldn't have taken that much effort to find it on his own.Lee702 wrote:Did waves hire you?paterpeter wrote:Try clicking on the "unsubscribe" link in the e-mail.Lee702 wrote:I hope they do not email 8 more times leading up to the next episode. I deleted most of the emails and the two I had left had no unsubscribe.paterpeter wrote:I suppose not, no. That's nonsense, in my IMO. Clearly a lot of people are thoroughly annoyed at the limitations that were not made clear up front - I certainly was one of them. Seems to me it's of value for Waves to know of this so they can avoid similar incidents in the future. It would also be very good for them to know they lost quite a few Codex sales today and left their potential customers PO-ed in the process.paterpeter wrote:Whoever is filing a complaint with Waves should seriously check their priorities IMO.

I'm annoyed. I think it was a cheap shot. But you know, I mean, what isn't? Other than a few small devs who are spot on in the world, there are things I hate from all ends of this business.
I really like codex. I'm going to end up getting it at a really good price after all, I'm fine with that. And I just went with support over the phone and they were great.

I have exactly $50,5 in my paypal account, so I think I need to skip anyhow.
But do you now if Waves still accept paypal, I couldn't see that listed when I tried to check out earlier.
I'm getting worried if bitcoin is taking over for paypal

Nice track! Very Todd Rundgren. How long did it take you to develop that synth face? It was almost better than the track itself.innervisions wrote:I got a beta version of Codex, and created this track with it:

All tracks were recorded using Codex, except for the acoustic drums of course...

Uhrg. Talk about prejudice. Jack Conte isn't your stereotypical hipster beardo. Stereotypical hipster beardos just talk about how cool their new mustache wax works and why that console stereo they found at the Salvation Army is the best to play your Esquivel records while sipping a microbrew. Jack's music is quite good and he also does demos for Electro Harmonix. His duo with his girlfriend under the name "Pomplemoose" produces some pretty excellent music, though it's not very synth heavy.robotmonkey wrote:Kind of simple. If you see a stereotypical hipster beardo presenting something you can fairly sure that you are dealing with a subpar product that is made in half-assed way. Knowing that Waves stuff tends to be pretty solid usually, I hope it's not the case. But so far I'm not impressed neither. If they would have got some serious keyboard player or programmer, I'd be more likely to take this thing seriously. Hell, I'd be happy even with Jordan Rudess.manandmusic wrote:What do you mean "lost much respect"?robotmonkey wrote:Kind of bad that they chose a bearded hipster type to introduce it. Well, I really screwed up. I didn't test this in studio one and it basically doesn't work.
I started this cool sequence in live yesterday, added a bunch of instances to test it and it was fine. Now, it's bringing live it IT'S knees.

I was a bit taken back by the bait-and-switch tactic, but in the end plunked down the $75 because, unlike popular belief, this is not a Serum rip-off. Sure, they share a few features but what wt synths don't?
I'll probably get Serum as well, but it does not have a similar sound to me at all. It sounds a hell of a lot warmer. I a/b'd the both of them for a long time and I was unable to get Serum to sound nearly as rich in terms of it's filters. Codex sounds like a hybrid wavetable synth with analog filters, Serum, while more capable in most ways, sounds purely software. Whether or not you like one or the other, or like me, both, is a matter of opinion, but I bet I use Codex a lot more and Serum as more of a special "spice" only used from time to time, kind of like I use Massive.

So, with all the wavetable goings on these days, did Palm's WaveGenerator just fall from the face of the earth?
Feed the children! Preferably to starving wild animals.
