The .dll is sitting there in the folder (one for 32bit and one for 64 bit in their respective folders) however Cubase won't see it. When I get a chance I am going to try a complete uninstall and re-install...hopefully fixes it.
Try to rescan VST 2.x plugins in Cubase. Reinstallation also helps. Try deleting My Documents/SynthMaster folder when reinstalling from scratch.

It seems my bug is being ignored
Try turning on "use fixed size buffers" setting for the SynthMaster tracks.

I did already, doesnt help.

Also its only envelopes, msegs, ksyc that stutter. Filters and other graphical stuff that is animated works fine.

Only way i can solve this if i use Scaled exe of FL Studio, but then i get in to other problems (some other plugin crashes ect)

Thanks - have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and have done the plugin scan several times in Cubase but no luck so far - haven't tried the mydocuments suggestion though - although I would have assumed this occurs automatically when the product is installed?

Where did you install the VST dll?

Such errors are 99% installation errors, SynthMaster DOES work with all vst host, as long as

1. it is installed to the folder where the DAW scans
2. only a single version exists on the user's machine (side by side installation of different versions are not supported)

Yup. Also, if you go to the vst manager in Cubase you might be able to detect if any elements of the plug are unrecognized there.

Finally, try opening as an admin the first time and see if that makes a difference.

So many plugins, so little time...

2. Upon FIRST run, the "license key file request" dialog pops up. If you are an existing user, the values will be populated from your existing license key file. You click on the "Download" button and SynthMaster downloads and saves the new license key file at Documents/SynthMaster folder.

In subsequent runs/updates license key file download wont be required. It is done only ONCE.
I use Logic Pro 10.2.2 on an iMac running Mavericks. I am an existing user, but the dialog box popped up empty for me. I couldn't copy and paste the license info from my account; I had to manually enter it. It worked okay tho.
Running Logic Pro 10.4 under Sierra on a late 2012 27" iMac wth 24 GB RAM :tu:

Thankyou! I opened Cubase as an administrator and suddenly Synthmaster appeared. I think I have been running Cubase with plugins for 15 years and that is the first time I have seen that occur. It was driving me nuts. I could see the .dll sitting in the /steinberg/vstplugins folder via windows explorer, yet Cubase's plugin manager couldn't see it - even after multiple re-scans, uninstalls of Synthmaster, changing to 32bit Cubase, changing to 32 bit Synthmaster et al.

What made you suggest that? I have run stuff as admin before to solve non-cubase issues but never Cubase. Will add it to my "things to do when I have plugin issues" list.

SynthMaster does NOT require you to run as admin.

BUT, Windows has this weird issue with the protected folders (like Program Files). They might have different content based on your credentials. Sometimes for admin the contents of a file is different compared to a regular user!

So the best thing to do is,

delete:

dll files
synth master data folder
my documents\synthmaster folder

and install full setup.

Will Synthmaster 3.0 be released this year or next year? I forgot if it was 206 or 2017. This update was great and I'm excited to try the new features. I can't wait for wavetables.

Should be around April-May next year.

For v3.0, we'll add

1. New sample content
2. New wavetable content
3. granular synthesis
4. formant filters
5. wavetable / sample editing features
6. redesigned GUI

:o The hype is real. How much will it be to upgrade? Seems like I saw it mentioned before, but I have no clue where. :D

Also, I've been wondering for some time, is there a key command to switch presets? I don't seem to have any mappable MIDI buttons. :hihi:

Oh yeah, I have a couple suggestions for the next version. :P
1. Color coded envelopes for drag and drop, similar to Massive
2. Drawable MSEGs, similar to Dune 2(Or four of them, if you're feeling adventurous :o )

Sound *very* interesting. Totally worth the upgrade.

edit: will the GUI be resizable ? It's rather small on the 2560x1920 resolution of my ASUS laptop. I can't imagine someone with a 4K resolution being able to use it at all.

I can not reproduce that issue yet. Could you send me any videos/audio renders that demonstrate it ?
