How are they "screwed"? They can still use 11 Intro, the Rack plugin and get REs. I doubt anyone who got Intro for very cheap or free (like most did) would be upgrading it to 12 Intro, anyway.

It all depends on what 12 Intro offers more than 11 Intro and how much it costs. The larger GUI plus some other improvements and/or new features could entice 11 Intro users to upgrade if the upgrade price is right.

And personally I'm still not angry, just perplexed about the decisions. Because for me it looks like they are making the bought version (Suite) worse (edit. by upgrading point of view), so that the subscription model would look better.

Of course, why would existing Reason users subscribe if there's a better deal in a potential Reason 12 Suite? Purely a business decision and a smart one if they want as many subscribers as possible. Of course there's a risk that existing users will spent less money, but that's business.. if you want to grow your company, it's about taking risks. Sometimes it pays and sometimes it doesn't. Nobody knows yet if it is a great decision for Reason Studios' bottom line.

I also bought 11 Suite hoping that they would continue with it, but it ways said from the beginning that they didn't know if and how it would continue. They were open and transparent about it (if you were keeping up-to-date on forums / news / social media). Still it was for me a cheap(er) way to get more Rack Extensions, so I'm still okay with that.

50 Euros is for the Stick ...ehh duh. and one less usb port on your Laptop.

When did you purchase it with the stick? And why, especially if you're on a laptop?

I 1st bought Reason 10 in late 2017 and I don't think it was even an option if I wanted it.

Has been an option since Reason 6.5
