Ahhh... does starting play transport in Live play the sequences?
Someone on gearspace (I think it was Polich?) said the same thing happened to him...maybe clear modwheel using midi cc mapping or there is a midicc.text or something such file that you can manually edit it.. parameters not midi mapped should say -1 as their cc value..
looks like this on my mac..
Doesn't behave like that on my system, but it keeps forgetting my modwheel to GlobalVibratoAmount learn, I have reported it, was told there were two other such reports.. Can't hurt to report yours as well.

This is a working solution:
1. After you assigned the CC to a target, close OB-E
2. Make 'midicc.xml' read only (right click on it in Explorer, go to Properties)
Path: C:\Users\(Name)\AppData\Roaming\GForce\OB-E\Data\
Now midicc.xml can't be overwritten by OB-E, which was causing the issue.
If you want to assign more CC's later on, you must undo step 2 temporarily

I have Arturia’s and Cherry’s. Already one too many for our needs. Could have been G-force’s as well. Synths are not front instrument in our music. Minor differences won’t be noticeable. They all give a fair sense of the famous -12 ob filter. Last thing we would need is a real OB. That would be over-overkill.

I can't help but think if this was half the price they would possibly sell enough to make more profit than at the current price. As people have been posting, anyone who wanted the OB sound will probably have several similar VSTs already, ay this price the remaining buying pool will be somewhat limited.

I am getting the impression that they are a very small company.. A larger Userbase may mean more tech support requirements and they may not want that.

I have several similar VSTs , but none of them sounds as good as OB-e.SLiC wrote: Sun Feb 27, 2022 2:39 pm I can't help but think if this was half the price they would possibly sell enough to make more profit than at the current price. You have a point though.
Probably a lot of peope will say what they have already is 'good enough'.

Lovely piece and sounds. Thanks for sharing!plexuss wrote: Fri Feb 25, 2022 6:37 am OB-E is a very inspiring synth for me. I held off until a holiday sale and decided to jump in. This track uses OB-E throughout. Also VSM and impOSCar2 as well some other things here and there. But it's all built off OB-E...

Behringer only returned the logo. They tried to snag the name a few years ago, but their trademark application was rejected. So they registered “Behringer Oberheim” instead, and were displaying that (in the same font as the real, original Oberheim logotype) with the logo in the “brands” sidebar on the Music Tribe site. I guess they eventually read the room and realized they were gonna come off like dbags and decided to just give Tom his logo back.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Tue Feb 22, 2022 3:59 pm It somehow went from Gibson to Behringer and I believe they actually gifted it back to Tom who plans on using it. There've been rumors that another Sequential+Oberheim product could be announced this year - perhaps even an OB-X reissue similar to the Prophet Rev 4.

Have you tried it against bx_oberhausen? In my testing they are pretty much on par, sound-wise. CPU usage isn't much different, either, although oberhausen has a nasty habit of freaking out now and then and maxing the CPU for no discernable reason.felis wrote: Sun Feb 27, 2022 6:02 pmI have several similar VSTs , but none of them sounds as good as OB-e.
I want to do a bit more testing tonight before I decide whether or not to throw a giant wad of cash at it but the presets I've played with are mostly very impressive. It blows the Cherry Audio one out of the water but, as I said, bx_oberhausen mostly holds it's own when I can find similar sounds to compare. Tonight I'll try making a few things from scratch in oberhausen and OB-E and see how that goes. Oberhausen is so easy to use - Cherry Audio's thing is a total nightmare - but if OB-E can find some middle ground, I will (reluctantly) allow myself to be ripped off.
I've demo'd Arturia's SEM a couple of times and I don't 'think its sound measures up to bx_oberhausen so I've never bothered with it. SEM is that one very special synth for me so GForce kind of have me by the short and curlies. But I'll hate them for it.

I find that Arturia SEM sounds much better when I take off the built-in effects and just program it myself instead. This is also true for some of the other Arturia synths. The existing presets are drenched in effects.BONES wrote: Mon Feb 28, 2022 1:53 amHave you tried it against bx_oberhausen? In my testing they are pretty much on par, sound-wise.
