There's a few ways you could duck with Infiltrator too.
It's an amazing multi-tool.
I'm not sure about ducking the internal reverb though, i really need to RTFM

Sorry I haven't seen beeing quoted. I had been under the impression the "dictator" is a pattern sequencer but its apparently 8 automation lanes tied to a fader (and I dont think you can tie it to the track being played). So it kind of has the function of a pattern sequencer but not really/different. See:
You could on/off automate with it and creating some type of movements should be faster but its definitely a different workflow.

I've seen this done with a standard reverb, where the reverb on/off was automated to be for switched on for the length of note for a synth part, starting clean each time switched on.sqigls wrote: Fri Jun 25, 2021 9:42 pm Gated reverb -> i just made a beat, selected the init wipe from the menu, clicked the second square in the sequence (1/4 note) and chose reverb from the effect menu. Adjust Mix to taste. Done. Gated Snare.
this was for some EDM gated reverb lead or something. And interesting idea. I've not tried it but think it could work well in places.

Thanks. Actually it does have a little sequencer.nordickvr wrote: Thu Jun 24, 2021 1:35 pmYes, it does.
It's one of many choices in the LFO window (there's 2 LFOs available for each of the 8 effects).

Izotope still has their 50$ bundle up for a couple days, which includes Stutter Edit 2. You might want to check this one out as well. Pretty different workflow but alot of feature overlap. You need to sequence through your DAW tho.

I just bought Infiltrator, do I need anything in the izotope bundle? I'm not remotely familiar with their work

i own most of the izotope stuff, but very rarely use it.
Infiltrator has a fairly straight forward interface, Stutter Edit is a bit more complicated to get your head around. It's possible to buy v1 for under $10 every now and then.

With that said, my two cents about the izotope stuff: besides stutter edit I think trash 2 is still very good. The Elements stuff -- I'd say forget it. Iris 2 is a fun synth that does some interesting things but some of the processing absolutely destroys my cpu (i have a ryzen5 3600). The reverbs are kinda... reverbs. I think some people like them but I don't really remember / mind any of them. Breaktweaker shows its age but its apparently still good for what it does. Its still really good for these glitch type of drums, although I have never actually used it.

In the Delay bank there's a Ducking Delay you could modify to be a ducking reverb.sqigls wrote: Fri Jun 25, 2021 11:10 pm There's a few ways you could duck with Infiltrator too.

We are also talking about adding some dynamics processors as effects, so there might be more ways to tackle ducking in a future update.

I'd like some more control in the multiband compressor.
to make it less mid-rangey, retain some bass... i really need to read the flipping manual
will the delay time recall bug be squashed soon?
i keep forgetting what sync time my instances are.

cave man is my middle name
i was just about to buy Texture also, but the price went up buy $30 just as i added it to cart.
plugin boutique limited offer.
I think it's a bit weird my Infiltrator purchase can't be added to my Devious Machines account simply because i bought it at PB.

Yeah some developers do that, I have a few plugins where updates are delayed by a few days because they are distributed by PB. I don't think that's the case here though? I bought both this and Texture direct (I think I just screwed myself out of a few bucks by paying in GBP though *well maybe not).
In any event, it's the most I've spent on a plugin in a while

If you send them your serial/proof of purchase they will add it to your account. Cool company.sqigls wrote: Wed Jun 30, 2021 12:12 pm
