Just bought this. Played around with it and instantly regretted it. Then shortly after found a couple of uses for it... and actually I can see places where it will enhance some of my compositions, so I think it's a good buy after all.
Every day takes figuring out all over again how to f#ckin’ live.

Just curious. What aspect caused the regret? I think the videos paint a pretty good picture of what to expect, no?chagzuki wrote: Sun Feb 13, 2022 12:35 pm Just bought this. But yeah, refunds are an option. Demo is better but a least there is that.

Well, it's quite a bit of money for an FX plugin. First thought was that it didn't offer that much more than something I could wire up in. e.g. Snapheap, or something similar, albeit with more effort. Further experimentation I think reveals that the organic character of the interaction between filter morphs and other elements does generate cool stuff.gondii wrote: Sun Feb 13, 2022 3:40 pm Just curious. And as a result, I have minimal interest in Rift

Anyone using this in Windows 7? lack of demo makes it impossible to check if it works.
An idiot on Set Theory:

never mind, it seems to work.

I picked it up on Splice, so at least I can freeze payments if I don't use it.
But its actually decent , not my goto distortion and the presets are pretty shite, but once you get into it, its not bad.

no demo is super rough if you're running an older machine and want to know CPU usage, or if you're running linux and want to make sure the damn thing works in yabridge etc before buying...
We definitely need more distortion plugins though - there seems to not be too many great ones on the market these days compared to back when ohmicide was new.

I had not! thanks for the link - I think infiltrator isn't really what I'm looking for (looking for some dedicated distortion stuff rather than a multi-fx) but their pitch effect actually looks way up my alley.cel4145 wrote: Wed Apr 13, 2022 8:44 pm Have you seen Devious Machines Infiltrator?

Tried demo finally (since now 35% off) tru Splice.
What i have to say, CPU usage absolutely ok, even can say low in most cases. Maybe at release stage it was worse idk, but now really no prob.
About product in general, well, actually very good filter\distortion. There is nothing bad to say, but there was no very special find either (based on what is already on the market + price). Yes modulation cool.
Also, went through all the dist algorithms (from init setting, and with Stages set at max 6, for better feel, and sometimes making Blend to min), and liked as unusual just Redux algo (Sample Rate section).
