Sorry mate, but we use https://www.cloudflare.com/ as a firewall, and seems once it recognize too many users and from different countries going to our website at the same time, it thinks it is a DDOS attack and starts doing these verifications.LaserLobes wrote: Sat Sep 28, 2024 2:34 am Lol I just tried to look at pulsar Modular’s website and failed the human verification 7 times in a row before giving up. I lost my GAS Bonner. Somebody talk distorted to me or something.
We will contact them and try to find a middle ground.

"for years".....I think I've mentioned one of your plugins a total of one other time in regards to this, two tops if you include some other plugins from your catalogue(though pretty sure it's one) in my entire post history here. let's not be hyperbolicP900 wrote: Sat Sep 28, 2024 10:26 amFor years you keep on touting it is a waveshaper and for years I keep telling you it is not!
I don't know if you have done a complete overhaul of the DSP since the first version which is the only version I tried, but I could null it close to the 24bit noisefloor with a tahn shaping function and slightly mixing in a 2nd order chebyshev waveshaper harmonic before the tahn shaper. there was some weird DC randomisation happening on just the even harmonic on the original one and that is what would cause the delta to slip out of cancellation every now and then, but other than that, they was nigh on identical for both the input and output saturation staging settings.
Perhaps you didn't implement it using those exact specific building processing blocks, but the version back then anyways using what I mentioned above, got it to 95% of the sound (minus the DC offset randomisation of just the even harmonics and the filtering which didn't seem particularly unique anyways, other than having a lot of what looked like quantisation error/noise in them)
It doesn't negate what I said though either way. there are no memory effects in however you have specifically implemented your transformer modelling if the DSP is the same. it doesn't react differently to different kinds of transients or frequencies like actual transformers do (albeit sometimes subtly, but's always there to some degree). anybody with an oscilloscope can test this for themselves. run close to DC up to Nyquist pulses through it and you'll see that the leading edge of the waveform doesn't change in response to frequency, how loud it is, or its contour outside of the shaping functions influence, and again, this can be subtle, but there was no element of this whatsoever in P42 when I tried it.

I definitely think it’s a waveshaper. There was a test done on GS with a handful of other saturators including simple wave shapers on the most basic settings and maybe one out of ten people could guess correctly.
Of course, if it’s not a waveshaper the developer is free to provide information about the modeling techniques used.

Instead of entertaining us with tangent and cosine, put some music with your waveshaper and let us listen to it and one with P42. This is the real test.

In celebration of the new copycat of P42 GUI ...

I was going to download a demo, but the back and forth here really turns me off of actually doing it.

I feel the same way. The problem for me, is that I already own all their plugins.masterhiggins wrote: Sun Sep 29, 2024 6:29 pm I was going to download a demo, but the back and forth here really turns me off of actually doing it.

Isn’t it though? If I could figure out what the owner did to get people brainwashed… I’ll be honest I would do that same thing and part fools with their money as well.

I see many people liking AA. Brainwashed.
I see many people liking Kiive. Brainwashed.
I see many people liking MBS. Brainwashed.
I see many people liking Waves. Brainwashed.
I see many people liking Tone Projects. Brainwashed.
I see many people liking Izotope. Brainwashed.
I see many people liking Leapwing Audio. Brainwashed.
Everyone is brainwashed and yet everyone is happily making music.
Everyone is a fool and everyone is financially incompetent.
There’s got to be at least a few people who think the worst of each developer for their own silly/ brilliant reasons. (Depending on the perspective)
Everyone. Yeah. Everyone.
