OK, I've added back Tone2 and KV331. In addition, I've added Shy audio. Thank you, everyone for your help in maintaining this list! It's too much work for one person to do.

Eplex7 DSP should be on the list. As far as I can see after a purchase of their T42N plugin, their licencing consists of personalized installers, similar to Blue Cat Audio.

Good find! The FAQ seems to confirm that it fits our criteria—added. Thanks!Sound_Bear wrote: Sun Mar 16, 2025 4:19 am Eplex7 DSP should be on the list. As far as I can see after a purchase of their T42N plugin, their licencing consists of personalized installers, similar to Blue Cat Audio.

Back to United Plugins: They have created a legacy download page with individual installers for all plugins that were released until December 2024.
https://unitedplugins.com/download/old
These installers include 32-bit and 64-bit versions of VS2T, VST3 and AAX. Some of the files they will generate are dated January 10th 2025, so it looks like UP brought many of the plugins up to date before abandoning the 32-bit versions and individual installers.
This is a great move by UP, and to remind: even though one needs to use their new plugin manager to install new releases, the downloaded plugins and the activations are still permanently reusable, as before.
Thanks, UP!

Thanks for the heads up. I see now they also offer the offline file for their plugin manager, and that's very great too!

Nice to see UP providing the offline installation data. That said, I don't understand the reasoning behind switching to using the download manager exclusively.
With melda the download manager kinda makes sense. It just replaced the standalone installer they used previously while providing the option of only running the manager and downloading the plugins you actually own. It's a more flexible iteration of the old way and it works because melda updates everything at once.
But UP is multiple vendors with multiple products. They're not all going to update and release at the same time, and they were never distributed as a single installer. Instead of keeping a handful of installers there's now a 1GB+ archive of everything if you want to keep an offline installer. And they will have to update this regularly rather than just provide individual product installers.
Anyway, boneheaded ideas seem to be the hot new trend these days when it comes to plugin delivery so I'll just be thankful for the offline option.

For my usage i was more happy with the old methods from both melda and up, i really don't like these managers neither i need them.
I prefer to have my installers and serial without the need to dial with this stuff. Also the melda full package was tiny, around 600mb if my memory is good, and you could just install what you needed.
I'm not against the new method, i just don't understand why to kill the previous. I think choices are better for different people, cause i'm sure the new method is better for some, just the reason to kill the previous one is no-sense for me.
Anyway at least it's still a viable option for offline usage and customer friendly drm

SoundGhost might be an addition to the list. After I redeemed a freebie code for Texturize, it didn't ask for any steps for activation upon first instantiation. I don't know if it's different for paid purchases, however. Will update here if & when I get to know.

BPB have a giveaway for Safari Pedals' Gorilla Drive right now so I took advantage of it.
The only download is a plugin downloader which you can use to download any of the plugins in au, vst3 or aax formats. There's no direct link for the installers.
When I tried to run Gorilla Drive offline the license window told me I had to be online to activate it. The activation instructions on the site state that the plugin can be activated on up to 3 computers.
So it seems they've switched to C/R and should be removed from the list.

It is worth noting that any expansion you buy from KV331 needs to be downloaded thru the plugin and thus need the machine to be online. I however do not know if you can transfer those presets to a offline machine by copy and paste/import them or if the presets have any DRM implemented.Frankie.T wrote: Wed Mar 12, 2025 1:24 pm I see KV331 explained more in that topic, and it looks like they use an internet connection if the machine is online, but everything just works even completly offline, so imo they can get back in the list.
* Sorry, Frankie.T - I was meaning to reply to audiojunkie's post about him adding KV331 back on the list but quoting the information from your post but got a massive brainfart and mixed up the tabs
