A warning about the update. And no I am not posting this in attempt to piss party this release. It's a friendly warning until this is sorted out. These things happen, and it's a reality for everyone using any kind of software. Simply wait for the fixt that's all I am saying:
From Reason Studios:
It has come to our attention that there is a bug in Reason 13.2, where NN-XT and Kong patches with multi-layer/layered samples don't load correctly. The result is that the samples are deleted after saving/reopening song files. The samples won't turn up in the missing sounds window either, they are just gone.
So, don't re-save songs with this problem in Reason 13.2!
While our developers are looking into this issue, the current workaround is to download and install the previous version - Reason 13.1. Opening the song files in Reason 13.1 will get the samples back.
Here are the Reason 13.1 downloads:
Reason 13.1 for Mac - https://cdn.reasonstudios.com/update/St ... ks-Mac.zip
Reason 13.1 for Windows - https://cdn.reasonstudios.com/update/St ... ks-Win.zip
We're really sorry for the inconvenience!

Yes, it is. Severe. Pretty sure they are working with priority to fix it. So, any day now. I suggest that everyone not update until the fix is ready.

Did they put back favourites? Can't believe they got rid of that feature. Impression is they've tried to compensate slightly for that but not just reinstated the favourites lists ? It was such a useful thing dammit

I guess the post you quoted actually meant Mackie Control Universal (MCU) because HUI is its predecessor and has much less use than MCU in the controller landscape. Reason 13's MCU support and how they map it to their mixer makes no sense to me. In any DAW I've tried, you can simply reassign the pots to control EQ, dynamics, sends and so on of the selected track. Not so simple in Reason. Lock the surface to a mixer channel. Then:crimsonwarlock wrote: Tue Jan 21, 2025 9:48 pmI kind of agree here, but then again, it can and does work. And when setup correctly, it is vastly superior to other DAWs. But yes, it is a pain in the butt to get it working.- using external midi control surfaces which should be a strength given Reason's knob per function mixer but instead is unusable short of a pretty heavy diy lift because they half implemented mackie HUI twenty years ago and then never touched it again.
- Pan mode controls the HPF and the LPF (weird) for the first two knobs. Width and Pan are assigned to knob 7 and 8 (weird)
- EQ mode doesn't do anything (why?)
- Send mode controls some EQ parameters (why?)
Lock the surface to the master channel. Then:
- Select EQ and you control three dynamics parameters of the master compressor, the rest is named "Rot X" seemingly without functionality and the last knob is the control room level
- Select Send and you control the send #2 of the channels instead the sends of the master channel
- Select FX and you control the input gain level of each channel
Also, you cannot simply select the track via the MCU's select button to control that track's EQ and dynamics. Whenever you want to control another track's EQ, you have to right-click the mixer track and lock the control surface to it.
What a mess.
If these standard MCU features are somehow working for you, are you maybe using some community-based improvements to the remotemap?
