Hey everyone!
Apologies for the delay. We ended up redoing our authentication system and adding a lot of enhancements, one of them being the new free trial flow. We'll be rolling this out across the entire product catalogue but I've just gotten it added to Evoke.
You can now download the Evoke trial from the FAQ section of the website:
You'll then be prompted to signup / start a new trial from within the application:
You are no longer required to go through the website checkout : )
I literally just deployed this 5 minutes ago so if there's any feedback or issues I'm all ears and will be sure to come back here and check! Please tag me if you don't get a response as I believe that will send me an email notification.
Thanks everyone!

Good news. I'm still keen to try Evoke out (and possibly some of the other FX), will likely buy it I suspect, but no way was going to buy it either unheard or subscribe. I've read/heard lots of good things about Minimal FX so it's good to see you've landed on planet earth finally in terms of a sales plan. I'll trial it after Xmas when I get a bit of time off

... this cloudflare page comes up when I click the download link (for mac):
"Sorry, you have been blocked
You are unable to access minimal.audio"
(no vpn, regular EU ISP connection...)
Maybe because it goes to private-assets.minimal.audio ?

Ahh shoot! Yes these were previously protected assets only available within account pages. I just was able to reproduce that, it seems to happen if you're not logged into the website for some reason which is why I missed it.
I'll get it patched in a few! thanks for the heads up

Alright! That should be fixed. It was due to a combination of security measures and caching rules.
I'm told by our engineering team that they've been looking into how to reduce latency, but I'm not convinced at the moment it would get it down to real time performance limitations.
For live performances running a time domain based auto tuner into a filter bank based vocoder would be the closest way to get a similar to result, but it's not gonna sound close : /
Unfortunately due to the underlying algorithms of Evoke and studio use focus, it's not mathematically possible to do this. We need large windows to data to generate the high resolution filters which enable it to get the audio quality / clarity it's capable of.

I can confirm the download worked on my end now - thanks!jakepenn_ wrote: Tue Dec 23, 2025 8:06 pm Alright! That should be fixed. It was due to a combination of security measures and caching rules.

Thank you! Please let me know if you have any other issues or feedback about the trial. At the start of the new year we'll start rolling it out across the full product line after confirming there's no major issues : )

I've been waiting since October for a fix. Obviously I didn't ask to be refund.jakepenn_ wrote: Tue Dec 23, 2025 8:06 pm Alright! That should be fixed. It was due to a combination of security measures and caching rules.

So what now. Is it a dead end, £70 to the bin ?

Did someone in our team tell you that was on the near horizon? You should have asked for a refund if performance use was a deal breaker for you. Technologically a lot of compromises would need to be made to make that happen if it was trivial to add we would have included it in the initial release.Gam456 wrote: Wed Dec 24, 2025 1:12 am I've been waiting since October for a fix. I'm fairly sure if you message support and are nice and explain that they'll sort you out, if not just DM me your email and I'll tell them to do it.

Thanks for telling us
If zero latency is technically not possible, a low latency, even in the 10ms zone (lower preferably) can maybe work with a low buffer. I know with my guitar I had success with some other plugins but maybe I'm one of the people who is not to sensitive to "higher" latency

If Vocoder is the important thing for you, try Waves Morphoder, no latency, an old plugin, but still good.

Thank You
Evoke can do more stuff like harmony not only a vocoder. But I have other tools such Humanoid, Manipulator.

Thanks for sorting out the trial. I'll give it a go on the project I'm working on.
Regarding lower latency, I'm guessing there's lots of frequency domain processing going on which would make real-time use basically impossible. It would be worth it to simply allow the processing window to be shortened. This would probably lead to mistracked pitches and other artifacts, but sometimes artifacts are interesting and useful so I'd say go for it.
If you want "realtime" though you'll have to go with something time based. Then you'll only get the delay of the autocorrelation. Waves ovox and their more recent harmonizer both work extremely fast. Ovox can probably get you in a similar ballpark as evoke.

Don't F**K with Mr. Zero.
