Thanks to everyone who took part in the song writing competition. Usually in contest like these, there's someone who says: "Everybody should have won", well with this one, everybody did!
slartibartfast, I thought for sure I would have gotten the worst catagory. I wuz robbed
Now I guess I am the proud owner of not 1 but 2 Wusikstations.
Thanks to all who donated their time and efforts here. Especially thanks to Mark @ Anamark for all he had done to help out this competition (that will be remembered by me when I actually have money to buy a new vst) and naturally TOTC & zvon.
Hey, //hg\\, if you want to exchange your surplus wusikstation for the Maxx Claster eJ VSTi I won, I would be happy to do it - at least then, even though you didn't get worst track, you got the prize!

Don't take it bad, your track is the worst in a good way.

Now if only the KVR monthly contests were based on voting for the worst track, rather than the best - I might have a chance of winning one of those, as well

Tell you what, we'll give you the Pro-Sounds PS-1 instead of the wusikstation and i'll use the wusikstation for the random drawing. is that ok?
peace!

As the links to the songs are missing, I assume you have some trouble finding an appropriate server. So here are the links to my two songs:zvon wrote:Ok folks, here's the complete list of the winners of the song writing competition.
Classical Meltdown
Within Minutes
Essentially, these are the same songs I sent ToTc, but I improved the mastering (better fine adjustment of the different instruments' loudnesses), so these are the most recent versions. Both songs are pure-AnaMark.
Cool. My song is the best played in a virtual, non-existing car.zvon wrote:9. Most likely to be played in Zvon's car. As I do not have a car, this one was tough. - Tie between mn (Le soulagement de Julie) and Mark Henning (Within minutes) - Anamark Anamark Pro VSTi for mn - Les Productions Zvon Prepared Rhodes and Julie's collection bundle sample sets for Mark Henning
BTW: I already contacted mn for his AnaMark license. How is the procedure for the other winners and their prices?

Congrats to everyone.
In case anyone is wondering what sort of crappy tune that robbed them of the first place I'll let you listen to it.
it's called Collision renovation.
It only uses presets from Vol.2. And only Z3ta+ and Pentagon was used for synths.
Stylus RMX was in charge of the drumming.
So, when's the next competition?

Congrats Armadillo with the 1st prize overall, and congrats to all others to getting 1st prize in each category. I would never have expected to end up in this category... but I'm not a good judge of my own music anyway.
Thanks TOTC and Zvon for making this an enjoyable and inspirational contest, and for creative judging to put each song in an appropriate category.
And of course thanks to all sponsors.
I had postponed ordering PS-1 and AnaMark while this contest was still pending, no need to do that anymore now
