Fl studio being a VSt host, it would be idiotic to base your whole argument on what's bundled with it. In particular when comparing it with an app that costs 6.6 times more.pseudonoise wrote:Whatev, so comparing a VW Beetle engine to an F1 engine isn't valid because they use different technology? I guess it's invalid to compare any two programs that have different algorithms then? WTF.loomchild wrote:Logic is an open system, you can use wrappers.
Pseudonoise: You have not only compared two totally different kinds of reverbs(a convolution one_logic's_ with a classic one_fruity's_) but you have based your very meaningful comparison on the GUI criterion.
Cream of the crap indeed.
Besides, a classic reverb is just a VERY rough mathematical approximation of the sound space that a convolutional reverb models exactly off a ping. So the comparison is completely valid.
Convolutional reverb is better, period.
And if you read my original post in this thread, my whole point was that it was impossible to work on the cutting edge of sound design using FLStudio component. So comparing FL Reverb to a component that works on a 100x more advanced algorithm is the perfect argument.
quantitatively, there is no difference in audio processing
Have you at least tried to understand what he/she meant by that?
