Of course Bulgaria is part of the Balkans
If I'm not wrong the name "Balkans" came from the old name of the mountan chan, that crosses Bulgaria and now it's called "Stara Planina".
Anyway...
Here we have a lot of definitions for "chalga" which is basicaly the same as "turbo-folk".
On the other side are projects like "Balkan Horses Band" (that's international formation - the guys are from Bulgaria, Croatia, Turkey and so on). Samples here.
Here are some other interesting links:

Hope other can add more (Voidoid Surrealist?)

Very, and I mean VERY cool image
. I'd like to have such moustache and a beard, but I usually shave them off after some time. Btw. nice links you've posted there, that's what REAL Balkan music is actually like. Did you check out Mizar or Anastasia maybe? They're really cool Macedonians playing ethnic music with a grain of electronics and guitars. They sound a bit dark, though, but I like that
.

Yeah. So, you've still got the nerve to call someone else a racist?

Please keep racism themes out of here guys, it's so 20th century and tiresome. Although I don't like Serbs in general, too [and only them] because of what they did [and still doing to some] to Croatians and other members of former Yugoslavia, but I was raised in such anti-serb climate and I'm really trying not to be a victim of such prejudices. It should be generally understood that politicians are mostly to blame also. OTOH I don't care if someone is black or whatever as long as he/she is a good man. Especially artists shouldn't care and don't care as far as I can tell.
