You're out of your element Strange! Congrats on the epointz.

So... I was gonna give the old 4 am update here but then... but then, I think I might have to hit the old sackaroo! Catch a little "shut eye" and start the whole thing back up in the mornin'. A shame this group buy is over and the products are going away... But, I happen to know there's another group buy coming in a whole other format! That's how the whole darned circle of life is... samplin' everythin'. I sampled in London... AND I sampled in Paris... but I ain't seen no Queen in her damned undies as the fella says. awe heck, I'm just ramblin'...

So everything is up and running here now. The only thing missing is the tga in the Bruford Kit, but that Kit sounds so strange that I will never use it anyway. This GB was an incredible bargain, together with GB 1 this is an absolutely incredible Library for just 200 USD which is hard to belive. Thank's to Squids and Allen and the Inventors of all of this!

Squids, I'm sorry for not having been able to answer your questions. As I live in France, I was sleeping :D
But as I understand everything should be working now. I will test when I back from work tonight.

Anyone compared these drums to NI's latest offerings (60s and 70s drums)?

Is there an overlap/similarity?

Just asking...

Thanks! Yes, should be good now. We solved it. Each new library of sounds you install will automatically update your Info.nkx which has the TGA skins in it. In this case, the Extra Snares 2 has it in it. BUT, just in case, we've also made it so that there's a separate info.nkx (meaning Studio Profiles Infinite Player Info.nkx and nkc - info.nkx for short in my text here) available for download in your esoundz area that is always the LATEST one! That will also be in the new Sonic Reality support section on the soon to be massively updated SonicReality.com So... this way we can all just say "make sure you install the latest info.nkx!" and that solves that... since previous installers of Infinite Player apparently still have the older info...

We're actually moving AWAY from using NI's installer because of that confusion and new Infinite-based products will have a new method of activating it within Kontakt which is simply putting a folder structure with the info.nkx onto the place you want your sounds to be on any hard drive and then simply clicking "add library" and browsing to it to pull it INTO Kontakt and then clicking the activate button on the librar itself (like you all did) to register the Infinite Player serial with NI's Service Center and that's it. We almost did it this time but we were in between... however, not that I've seen more problems with that Infinite Player installer I am confirmed that much more to go this other route so we avoid problems in the future.

We learn.

In any case, X-Dark, your post was very helpful in solving that and we've given you a pile of epointz for your help! Thanks again.

Squids wrote:Haha. Well, the next group buy is actually NOT about drums... well only a little bit but mostly about something else entirely. More news about that coming up but it doesn't relate so much to this really...

What DOES relate to this (in case anyone is - hopefully - addicted) is the actual RELEASE of Drum Masters 2 Multitrack, Platinum, EpiK DrumS - A Ken Scott Collection, Neil Peart Drums and some more Signature Expansions such as Percussion, Snares, Cymbals, Hats... lots of cool stuff coming!
How 'bout getting this one to work.

I have to say that this entire process has been unpleasant, confusing and needlessly time consuming. Somehow you guys need to make it less convoluted.

Seriously, this is nothing personal. I'm just telling you my experience being a first-time customer of your product.

The drums, however, sound great.

Thanks.
It really is pretty easy considering all the stuff we are getting, I was in the 1st GB and this one is cake...all you have to do is wait and them re-download a few things. This guy (squids) is working his ass off for us and, I would rather have him tell me about the problems instead of hiding..Us users of SSD have been waiting for months for a fix to stop VOL.3 from crashing..A user actually figured out a quick fix but the company still has done nothing but promise..so thanks squids for keeping us up to date..try getting this type of customer service els ware, you will not!!!

Thank you !
I wasn't looking for any reward in helping, but I really appreciate.

Hi Squids,

i'm very sorry of this post, but I've the sensation that I'm missing something.

Where is the serial for the infinite player?

and, regarding the first group buy, (I've started to install the stuff today because my new daw is now ready), what kind of installation for OWD?
Thanks Squids, and excuse me for the questions!!!

Serial should be on your esoundz download page..you drag the zip files onto the IP installer for OWD just like all the other stuff!! Hope I helped!!

That's the best news yet Squids :D For me finding the "Library" has been the biggest PIA. Every time I go to add a multltrack, I always get the message "Library not found" so I just use database or files to get my kits. At the end of the day all the kits are there but it would be nice and easy just to go the Infinite Player and hit the "multis" for the kits :D
