Viktor was never finished. It had some bugs and sound path errors. The development was halted when Abakos developments stopped.Warkauze wrote: Wed Aug 07, 2024 10:22 pm This might be a shot in the dark, however I have been looking for this vector synth called "Viktor." At first I thought it was simply never made available to the public, but I recently discovered a public beta was released for it. I would love to give it a try!
Thank you!

I tried to use it for years but in my opinion Antti Augur did a better & easier job.

Never had much luck with Tunafish, too unstable & crashy with a good number of plugins... Plus not a big fan of 'knob tweak' automation...
Tuareg 2.5 FAT I find a much more clever piece of code... Samples with internal FX that are pretty damn good... I have found every plugin for it except for the Moonfish Plugin... Probably best is the VST2SEQ where you can load in VSTi (stacked too) then paint out your piano roll then export right into Tuareg... So you can use VSTi in it in a 'pre-bounced' way...

Tuareg also has curve drawing for several internal FX, Last plug I found was the recorder so now it qualifies as a DAW... Hasn't crashed on me yet except if you show the browser a folder that is not 16bit mono samples... stereo or any other bit causes crash so that's only crash 'type' I have endured...

Since this thread uses it constantly be aware that the wayback machine & internet archives has been hacked days ago now making much 'digging' useless who knows when it will be fixed or if ever...I am certain many who have uploaded 100's of GBs to internet archives are feeling buggered...
Too bad as the wayback is way better than the modern current internet... "Manic depression is touching my soul.... I know what I want but I just don't know... (How to go about getting it)... Feelin' sweet feelin' drops from my fingers...fingers..."

Does anybody know how to increase stability of Tuareg or Tu2 on WINE in Linux?
I can get them to run but ever since 32-bit support was withdrawn from the entire computer community, I can't get them to be stable in any Linux.
I know they are still good programs though.

Best way is to forget Linux & go on ebay & buy a 20 year-old laptop with XP on it... A couple years ago I bought two from same seller one for $9.99 & the other for $12.99 plus shipping (a U400 & a dv4000) both still going strong the U400 had a 500 GB HDD...
BTW I would not sing praises about the wayback or archive.org right NOW they are both offline again, it's an off-on-off thing, may be that way for some time...
