i made all the patchs with the last dune 2.5, perhaps, my init patch come from an older version, i don' t know, but it s strange because a big part of them use the analog env and the new filters.pheeleep wrote:Thank you. When I load your bank in Dune 2 in Fl Studio, I get an error pop up "This patch requires DUNE v2.22. Please download your free update". I get the pop up for almost every preset I select in the bank but presets 047 and 048 load without the pop up displaying. If I hit "ok" at the bottom of the pop up for the other patches, the patches then load.kokotte wrote:I have update my free mini bank for dune2.5

One person also had that error message from my soundset and were able to fix it by upgrading to the lastest mac version, which is 2.502 and not 2.501. Maybe this info might help

Kevin is still working on it, more specifically on the demo track/video for the set (the patches as such are complete). He said he needs more time to finish it, his guess was approximately 2 weeks.SmoothTriangle wrote:Any news on the cinematic soundset?

I'm trying to find more details about the filter types in Dune 2. The 'ladder' is a moog, and the SK is the MS-20? What about the XP?
Btw, there is a rental plan for a Dune 2 tutorial in Groove3 (72 hours for $2.75). I'm going to rent it today and delve into Dune 2 as I want to use it and the Legend only in my next track

Dune 2 is a great synth. It was the first synth i ever purchased and has remained my most used vst to date!

Got mine for a good price in the buy & sell forum. It's my number 1 synth atm, took like a day or so to get the license transferred, so developers are reliable/on the ball, at least in my experience. It's not only great sounding but a pleasure to work with. With the free hoverland skins it's nice to look at too.

So, no one knows about the filters I take it? Or have I become 'invisible' again?

Well, the Sallen-Key is not the Korg MS-20 filter as it is written in this page (before the last paragraph):
http://www.timstinchcombe.co.uk/index.php?pge=korg
I found another explanation that says the Korg35 filter (which used in MS-20) is kind of Sallen-Key filter:

Hmmm, so that I felt it this way then!

The filters are really good and different from each other.
Oh well, I'm watching the rental tutorial now, and it is very good explaining the modulations and what you can do with Dune 2 (most everything can be done!
Anyway, it is really a great synth, worth the time investing in learning it IMO of course

I said one warningAlesisVi61 wrote:I'll WTF you whenever you post an idiotic question, you bleeding imbecile.I did not threaten anyone with using an illegitimate version of Dune 2(only that I had considered it,due to how limited my options were and I'll reiterate yet again,I would never keep the cracked copy & would have only used it until I could afford the paid version.)AnX wrote:Dont 'wtf' me you scum bag. You come here threatening to use a crack and demand a company lets you pay installments? You are scum. Did you bother to do a search for Dune 2 lately? If so....did I overlook a retailer that carries Dune 2,possibly?
If you know something I don't,then by all means...enlighten me.
As for posting a direct link to a crack/warez, you should get an insta ban you piece of shit!
Also...I posted that YouTube video,so that people would be aware of it,so they could take down the video....you f**king flaming retard.
You may find this impossible to believe, but I don't actually condone cracked versions of software...but nonetheless,it is everywhere on the internet.
I actually had an online friend offer me a cracked version of Reason 4(because then,I had posted that I was planning on buying it) and after he read my post,he told me about a cracked version and I turned him down flat.
Another reason I had considered the cracked version,is that with the demo,Synapse Audio allows you to record tracks using the demo, but when you close out an instance of a DAW session and go back to it later, all of the presets that were recorded, are deleted and everything reverts back to the default setting.
While it is great that Synapse Audio allows you to record with it,well..it's pretty damn pointless,if the settings in your work is deleted repeatedly.
Other companies give you full functionality, during the trial period...but Synapse Audio is more worried about limiting their demo version, rather than chasing down and eliminating cracked software(because that friggin YT video is STILL there.)
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Yes the MS-20 filters are Sallen-Key types with a 12dB slope for the low-pass. This type of filter is easily recognizable by its "brutal" resonance compared to the traditional 24dB ladder filters. The Sallen-Key model in DUNE 2 is closest to the late MS-20 filter, which works and sounds somewhat different to the early MS-20 filter. Regarding that screaming resonance, both are similar, though.EnGee wrote:Well, the Sallen-Key is not the Korg MS-20 filter as it is written in this page (before the last paragraph):
