I saw a video on the bela Gliss and it looks really interesting. Can't say if I'll get one yet because I don't have a start date yet but it would be easy to add with a size.elxsound wrote: Wed Aug 07, 2024 5:32 pm Thank you!
The downside is that I lost a spot for BlueBox, but I’m heavily considering adding the eurorack BlueBox and a 2nd Bela Gliss.

I really like it, but I’m only using just one mode of it. I only use the recorded modulation.Constructed Identity wrote: Tue Aug 20, 2024 3:07 amI saw a video on the bela Gliss and it looks really interesting. It has 4 modes and then an additional 3-4 sub modes. You either need a cheat sheet or be able to memorize each color/visual feedback when switching.
Not like I have lots of free time these days, but it should be fairly simple to make a single page cheat sheet to reference. That would be helpful to me at least.

Aw, you must have wrapped up just as Deb and I were tuning in.

sorry
the video was a prerecorded loop, just trying out panning and vertical movement.
but would get a bit repetetive, also the patch was just xpo/qpas/mimeophon, with tides cycling on all the cv inputs

Recorded a track mostly on the Elmyra a couple days ago.
Yesterday I tested the Landscape Ferrous on a few things, kind of got a feel for it. Then I remembered the lap steel guitar I had sitting behind a chair for several years untouched. (I barely played with it before, since I didn't have a great space for it and even plugging it in used to be awkward.)
So I hauled that out today, tuned it up (it wasn't far off!) and... well yeah, the Ferrous is OK with it but it really just got me playing the lap steel. I realized it's kind of great for drones and ambient / kind of shoegazey stuff. So that's gonna get used a lot more now

Been making some quite squonky noises on Hydrasynth. Now I have a machine that’s easier to slob around with I’ve started digging into oscillator sync and the harsher end of things, good noisy fun.

Last night I actually turned on the (almost) forgotten Pro 3 and made some new patches since all the user banks are just copies of the (F) factory banks. Today I mostly just read- sike! skimmed, the manual for Davinci Resolve since I made a FULL ALBUM video for Characterisation with it. I also tried to make a wavetable.

I still feel like I will get rid of a synthesizer when the one I just ordered arrives, but I will wait until it is here to make the choice. Pro 3 has over a hundred patches I made for it, some of which I really like, however it is far from the perfect synth. Never liked the knobs and the endless encoders regularly jump ahead which is a pain when naming patches. Most of my synths have a case so they're all in mint condition.

Could be worse.

Worked on a new house song idea that has a total synthpop vibe for a singer I've been working with. My new OB-X8 is featured all over this track and I'm loving it!
