Dev's strength obviously is Funk House, I suppose a genre he is familiar with.
Stock sounds are good and then you need some luck to get a good expansion. it would be nice to get some expansions with new genres with people involved who are experts in certain genres.
It's my fav synth to create my own presets with almost endless possibilities and high quality fx.
Some presets have huge cpu peaks for whatever reasons, cpu consumption should be taken seriously and be improved and knowing that some features will be added to V2 I suppose the cpu consumption might even increase in V2?!

I guess I'm asking a lot but if one day you happen to make a basic preset with the possibility "4 different Arp harmonies and assign the Pattern Switch (ABCD to another controller of your choice (or a 4/4 step sequencer) so you can switch harmonies independently from the Arp Speed. " You would do me a great favor, I've tried but I can't get out of itmsvs wrote: Sat Dec 10, 2022 7:43 am of course thats possible. Assign ARP Speed Stepless via Modmatrix to you MW or a Macro. Thats the speed thing done
For the melody: you should do 4 different Arp harmonies and assign the Pattern Switch (ABCD to another controller of your choice (or a 4/4 step sequencer) so you can switch harmonies independently from the Arp Speed.
If 4 Arp Chords are not enough you can trick with automating tranposes or the Chorder vie StepSQ or ModEnvs and do whatever harmony you want.
You also do the whole thing completely different and keep a normal arp speed, but automating volume chops with the ModEnv or an LFO/Saw Shape for example and raise the modulation speed via another controller.

Manuel, I wanted to ask you something, if possible, would it be possible that you also make the Christmas expansions available (with 1-2 sounds of each expansion released in that particular year) so as to have new sounds every Christmas?
I know that obviously the Nexus 4 is another type of vsti and maybe there is a different marketing discourse etc.. but it would be nice every year that there was an expansion at Christmas (with various sounds taken from the various expansions released that year) which waiting for us to download with 50-60 new sounds, let me know if it would be possible to implement this thing.
A thousand thanks

thats a matter of few seconds:
assign a modulation source (for example the Step Sequencer), set it to a low speed (1/2) and shorten its length so you see 4 bars. Assign this via modmatrix to the ARP Pattern Index and set the modulation depth to 100%
Set another modulation: Modwheel (or any Macro Dial) to ARP Speed (stepless), set it to 80%
Now you can control the ARP pattern with the heights of the 4 bars in the Step Sequencer, independently of the ARP speed, which you can drive into insane speeds with the MW.

I hope the gui won't drastically change in Ver.2 /
there is no need to change anything at all imo / some new features look promising,
a better cpu performance is what I expect the most,
it's generally ok in V 1.85,
but there are some negative exceptions

the positions in the GUI wont change, but there will be a new, cooler skin, which you can see in the previews

I absolutely love the drum and bass expansion for the bass presets. (As well as the Hard Raw bass presets in the factory set). What would be another expansion that would be similar? I was thinking the dubstep expansion, but I don't particularly like dubstep or it's bass sounds. I want hard subby with little movement in the sound. I also got the bass house, and those are awesome too.
I was thinking acid breaks, but dont particularly like acid either.
Thanks

no yellow any more?msvs wrote: Thu Dec 15, 2022 3:42 pm the positions in the GUI wont change, but there will be a new, cooler skin, which you can see in the previews
you can hardly see what has been selected without a striking color imo. Maybe an option to select different skins?
I know the look of a skin is personal taste,
but a skin can also have impact on workflow
and I think Ver1 was just perfect.
Will user presets saved in Ver1 also work
in Ver2?

That is already available in v1. Go to the system preferences.

Something that I wish was improved in v2 is how certain values are mapped to certain controls.
For example the filter in the delay and reverb. It really doesn't make any sense how the frequencies are distributed over the slider control.

The range between 20Hz and 500Hz should occupy almost half the slider. The range between 10k and 20k should be much smaller. This is how most EQs work. Even the EQ in Avenger itself:

Same with the filter cutoff knob.

Another request I'd like to make for v2 is having a proper stereo delay with independent time controls for L and R
For example if I want to have 1/8 on the L and 1/4 on R I need to have two delay effects which is tedious because I need to setup the feedback and filter twice on every change in the delay.
