Very upsetting news. The creator of the coolest software drum machine to date and so patient and generous towards his users. RIP.

Shit that’s very sad news. Lotuzia was very present on here. RIP and f**k cancerbob swans wrote: ↑Tue Feb 02, 2021 12:06 pm Some sad news on Facebook from the Xils Labs team
"We are very sad to announce that Laurent Bourgeon passed away last week after having fought cancer for months.
He was also known as Lotuzia and manager of Le Lotus Bleu, created thousands of preset for XILS-lab synth and also designed some of our effects (R.A.M.S.E.S and LeMasque:Delay) as well as our drum machine (StiX).
A big loss of the music world, XILS-lab and his Family.
Laurent will still be among us through all the music he created"
RIP

Laurent, reposes en paix et merci pour tout ce que tu as amené à la communauté fan de synthèse. Une énorme pensée à tes proches et ton entourage.

Oh man... Laurent and I had many interactions over StiX while I was writing "Into the Black Hole" with it. So sad... life passes...
It was memorable to me how Laurent referred to parts he liked as "moments"...
My thoughts will be with his friends, family and colleagues....

I can perfectly see how StiX could be usefull for your music : Very organic sounds.
The 1st video reminds me a lot of some of my 70s music CDs ( Even the early 'space' Hawkwind, for erf .... some reasons -don't know really why, just a thought that passed- )

That’s so sad. Laurent seemed like a very kind and thoughtful person. My heart goes out to his family and those who knew him personally.
