Dude, DJ Shadow, William S. Burroughs, and plenty of other people have taught me that cutting existing things up to make new things can be just as artistic as starting from scratch. Don't put it down ;)

Thanks for the feedback!

I'll reduce the 3D effect on the buttons a little bit. The other skin is flat and light, so this stays dark and shiny 8)

No need, man..these people have no idea what looks good and what doesn't; carry on the straight and narrow.

3d thing looks fine to me, and it was only one person who said they had an issue with it.

I think the 3D is fine. What I would suggest is "pillow" embossing the buttons to help them sit on the GUI better ie make the buttons appear to be slightly sunk into the background. At the moment the buttons look a little like they are stuck on rather than part of the GUI. Here's a pic to show what I mean (I've only altered the top two buttons to show the difference):

Feel free to ignore me though, I like this skin a lot anyway! :)
the way is not a religious or political statement

The shiny effect is still a bit much, but I reckon this makes them fit in much better with the surrounding GUI.

I like the shiny parts. And I like the 3D buttons. I think they are very sharp as is the whole skin. Don't change a thing and just give it to use already! :hyper:

Thanks for the input, the win min/max/close buttons were already embedded like that and yes I agree it looks a bit better. I also reduced the curvature on the reflection effect so the buttons are not so upfront anymore.

Scrollbars and Main window icons next.

i also recommend disabling antialiased lines in energyXT.ini for more reaktor-like look =)

thanks for this skin!
