you're unique, Lj
i hope for you you'll never land, or at least that you'll find a good spot not to be harmed too harshly by real life.

Been there done that. The branch that bends does not break. The hardest target is a moving one. Weebles wobble but they don't fall down.i hope for you you'll never land, or at least that you'll find a good spot not to be harmed too harshly by real life.

Everyone needs to get off the computer and in the sun to listen to the funky music. It's free and cheap so there are no excuses. Screw the boss for change! You will feel much better

What sun? Its dull grey and cold outside.
Or havent you heard of Scotland? We get 'weather', not 'sun'.
It's free and cheap so there are no excuses.
Melanoma?
Screw the boss for change!

What assumptions? Did you not say you going on tour soon? Did you not post a tour poster? Did you not say US soldiers kill peasants? Did you not say there would be some important sign? Did you not assume your server was hacked and that "someone here is playing very dirty to win?" Did you not immediately jump to the same conclusion about my mash-up? Did you not make that post defining a bully?Lady J wrote:Wow a lot of assumptions UTM. You know what happens when you assume... It is so nice that most people can leave Hyde Park topics out of the Gossip thread. Raspberries to the two guys who could not..
Maybe my assumptions are wrong. I just was trying to connect the dots. Bad habit of mine. I normally wouldn't criticize with whom or where someone is gigging except that - as noted - much of this month seems to revolve around your self-aggrandizing. I have no plans to perform my songs anywhere anytime soon but this contest doesn't seem to be about me or any of the other sixty contestants.
BTW, I AM the boss and I've screwed myself plenty!

It's raining here, so fun in the sun is a no go.Lady J wrote:Everyone needs to get off the computer and in the sun to listen to the funky music. It's free and cheap so there are no excuses. Screw the boss for change! You will feel much better
But I am listening to "Maggot Brain" as I write this, so I got the funky music at least.

Summer festivals... Well depending on where you are I guess. Live 8 in London is not that expensive if you look at what you're getting. The one in Philly is totally free but you have to endure crap like "50 Cent"It's free and cheap so there are no excuses.
Melanoma?
Fair enough.Screw the boss for change!

thanks kovacs and good luck with the scenario, <grin>kovacs wrote:liqih - here comes dee bass
Yeah...it comes late but well. I was expecting the bass to take more of a center stage but the wacky synth on top of it takes away too much. But it gets better about halfway - solo bass. The melody is quite catchy and I might like this, even if my hangover says this is too much for my brain.

Good idea. Maybe not.... I avoid going out into the sun until after 3:30 (remember Ladies and Gents the ozone layer ain't what it used to be). So these days playing tennis or fishing is relageted to the evening when it is much safer and cooler.Everyone needs to get off the computer and in the sun to listen to the funky music. FYI : The Montreal International Jazz Festival kicks into high gear this July 1. I am really exicited since I have almost a whole week of Pat Metheny on the 7th it's PM and Charlie Haden "Beneath the Missouri Sky" followed by a Meet Pat Metheny event at Place des Arts I I lucked out on getting tickets for. July 8 Pat plays with Mick Goodrick
So, if any of you are planning to be in town the next 10 days, let me know.
Cheers,
Gordon
