it was never part of the plan to offer a total free update to Alchemy V2.
i asked them before in a topic in the CA forum. to lazy to go and search for the topic now.

I had issues with making purchase about a year ago- there was warning from fraud department. Not sure it related.

I hope the demise of Camel, that one or more developer seizes the opportunity and creates an Alchemy like application and fill the vacuum created by its absence (or Absynth, hey it almost rhymes)

Opportunity only knocks occasionally, so developers open the door and let the demand for such a product fill your pockets with gold. We musician will forever be grateful!

Yeah, I know, and I would have never really expected a free upgrade. The post I was replying to was also never part of the plan.
