To be honest I don't remember what I meant. Man, too many songs...Katanaman wrote:Thank you. I wasn't going for a generic sound so maybe I should try harder next time I do punk. It's still good to see you like the chorus. One question, though. What do you mean by needed some metal? Heavier guitars? Thanks again.kovacs wrote:Katanaman - Open Letter To The Man
Great! Love it. Needed some metal. It does sound a little too generic, though...although perhaps the catchy chorus revives it a bit. Might make my cut.

Sorry guys, no votes from me this time
. Although I reduced the set to 20 songs already, I suddenly have to apply for jobs this week internally, due to a large reorganisation... Application for my own job is next week, but the deadline is tomorrow for applications that could give me a promotion
... I really have to give that a bit of priority...

Wow! A hundred pages in 29 days - that's nearly 3.5 pages per day. What an accomplishment! Some of the pages are coincidentally related to this month's contest.

Some comments were about:
* slightly crappy, bass-heavy mix - I spent a total of 2 hours on composing, mixing, encoding & uploading. Let's say I might have missed som sonic details
* lack of variation - well, 2 minutes is a bit short for a dnace piece, and since dnace music isn't quite my cup of tea I don't know how it's supposed to be anyway
Heh - how could you not love the chime soundsslartibartfast wrote:Love the subtle chime sounds.

Awesome album! I was wondering where the title came from, it's all clear now.farlukar wrote:Nope... a reference to the Mothers Of Invention
Yours is a pretty good song, BTW.

Griels, that falsetto chorus in your song is stuck in my head! And that scat vocal in there really, really cracks me up. Excellent work.
