This is fine and all, but I personally don't see the practicality of creating a 6-hour preset, and most definitely would never attempt to create an entire track within a plugin, so what is concerning to me (rant) is that you're adding more song building *stuff* to Avenger as if it were a DAW, and as a result your CPU usage is getting out of hand that I almost wish you would offer a version of Avenger that was a lot simpler. However I understand it appeals to some people, and I'm all for the various options you have within Avenger, but like bro, sometimes I just want presets that are not already whole tracks. Those whole track presets sound great, but like I'm not going to use them. And it sometimes feels like you're trying to squeeze too much DAW functionality into Avenger.
That being said I will upgrade (I think) but I don't use your synth as much as I thought I would because it is too...much.

some people have too much time on their hands
the whole 'DAW inside a plugin' thing and the layers and the drums, it will never be used by myself, and unless v2 is more stable and uses less CPU, i won't be upgrading.

of course this is a "showcase preset"
Its just a preset from an upcoming 2.0 expansion: "Generative vol. 1" and shows what is possible, in the right hands.
If you dont like generative, AI based music, just dont get this XP.
It has nothing to do, with not being able to create simple presets with Avenger. Of course you can, if you want.
And I dont think 2.0 will take LESS cpu than 1.8. Of course it depends if you use one of the new features in a preset... So I guess you should not upgrade if you just wanting/expecting this.

Ok, now I'm seriously worried. Are you not trying to fix the CPU issues on mac with V2 at all?msvs wrote: Tue Jun 20, 2023 11:46 am And I dont think 2.0 will take LESS cpu than 1.8. Have they ever acknowledged there is a cpu issue?
I don't recall my emails to report about it ever getting an answer.
And surely here Manuel's 'solution' is use it at sample buffer 512
(or could be 256) I think, like he does.

I am not support, I dont know about any mac stuff. You should contact Rene about that. Of course there are a lot fixes in 2.0... maybe @m-ac you should participate in the beta, which will be announced in our FB group, when its time...

If you are talking about the CPU spike, yes it is acknowledged. I shared here an email from the support answering to the point.zvenx wrote: Tue Jun 20, 2023 2:52 pm Have they ever acknowledged there is a cpu issue?

Acknowledged doesn't mean that it will be solved though... The support was just saying that generally, CPU optimisation was worked on...

Rather, some people focus purely on sound design. And lots of people benefit from their work.sqigls wrote: Tue Jun 20, 2023 2:45 am some people have too much time on their hands

...by paying the people who focus purely on sound design for their work. What's your point?

what is your point then?
when people are paid for sound design, they should have "enough time"
