Maybe a dumb question: I have some unused “pick 5” expansion packs. Will there be V2 only expansions and the rest be backwards compatible? Would it be in my best interest wait until V2 is released to make my choices or does it not matter? Thanks

I am 99.99% sure you can wait. That is what I am doing.
For sure two months ago they told me I have a lifetime to complete my 5 pack choices ( I have only picked two so far), and I can't imagine once v2 comes out, new packs will ve made for v1 still.
"The “Free Expansions” got no expire date. You got as much time as you need to choose your Expansions. You could also wait for future Expansions that are not released yet."

Version 2 brings new arpeggiator functions, effects and many new sounds, it is possible that soon they will release new expansions with those functions, if I had the bundle of 5 then I would wait a few more months, but you decide.

yes the XPs which will be released with 2.0 launch will take use of these new features. For example the "Generative" XP will make heavy use of pitch quantizer & new random features.
and yes, of course you can still use your pick5 codes with the release of 2.0... with old XPs or new 2.0 xps, that doesnt matter.

Hi
Does anyone on this forum use a Novation SL MK3 midi keyboard with Avenger as I really really need some help setting up hardware buttons with the VPS macro buttons.

Hi, I purchased VPS Avenger a few days ago. I like the sound and functionality, however, the amount of RAM it consumes is far too large:
8 instances of Avenger (no presets loaded) = 3.72 GB RAM
Comparing to:
8x UVI Falcon = 112 MB RAM
8x Reason Rack = 241 MB RAM
8x Halion = 679 MB RAM
8x Phase Pant = 960 MB RAM
Host: Studio One 6, OS: Windows 10 Pro

Yep, Avenger is buggy. I dont believe it should take so much memory. No other vst is ram intensive as Avenger.

It is in developer's interest to fix it - many people (including me) will avoid using the buggy plugin in their projects, and buying sound expansions won't make sense. Also, out of respect for the customers, the current version should be fixed before the release of Avenger 2.

They know these problems since 2017 and never fixed it, so I don't see hope for future fixes either.

No it won't be.
There may be a cut off date where if you buy Avenger 1 after then you get Avenger 2 free, no clue if that is there plan.
But they already announced it would be a paid upgrade, just they haven't announced that cost yet afaik.

Yes, there will be a grace period of one month before release.zvenx wrote: Sun Aug 06, 2023 12:17 pm No it won't be.
