Beware: "MyCommerce Payment Report 31-OCT-2024"

I just received this. It notes my sales and their margin deduction as usual, so far so good.

But: way down the email is a new section where they list charges for "Platform Subscription Fee" and "client support" -- this despite the fact that I told them to pay me what they owe and close my a/c back in October and specifically told them I don't accept their new 16-OCT-2024 contract (and therefore they are not entitled to charge me the subscription fee or for "support").

Futhermore: in the final para it says:
It is your responsibility to review the account statement immediately upon receipt to make sure everything is correct. If you have any objections to the account statement, please send them immediately upon receipt of your statement, in writing, to Digital River GmbH. If you do not submit a written objection to the account statement within 30 calendar days of receipt, the statement will be considered approved and correct, and you irrevocably waive any rights to lodge an objection at a future date.

Are you above the minimum payout amount?
Considering the platform fee and the random support fees that get deducted?
Actually I never had a minimum payout amount. I've used direct PayPal sales for a long time for the majority of my sales and because of that, the DR payouts were getting lower and lower over the years. For example, the last payout from June sales was just 250 Euro. They never complained about that and a threshold does not make much sense to me. Stripe does even payout 5 Euro if you want.

Yes. Above 10K+. Got the payment notification on Dec 11 and no money in our bank account yet. The last payment we received was on Oct 29 and the money was deposited to our account the same day when we received the payment notification. The same bank account, really weird this time!

Yes. 40K+ EUR... nothing... I would love to punch them in the...!!!!!

I have "some" hopes for a 15th of December payment, meaning 16th or 17th as banks are usually closed on Sundays and Mondays. Here is why:
- Mid-month was their usual payment time-frame for decades
- Last time I received a payment notification (end of October for July), it got paid. A number of people seem to have received it a few days ago
- Recent letters I've sent them by mail have been rapidly handled in support center and merged into the existing ticket

So there is some kind of "improved" activities there. Fingers crossed..

I don't believe that anymore. They robbed us and this realization is probably the Christmas present for most of us.

In the mean time I'm preparing to send payment to Digital River.

- I refunded majority of orders

- Then they paid for July, so at that point they're in minus

- Received invoice from them for October, for all refunded amounts. It also included platform and support fees. I decided to accept these fees, as priority was to close account as cleanly as possible, to avoid dealing with them or bankrupcy court in the future.

- I asked a lawyer to create "notice of termination" and "mutual settlement" - to balance unpaid credit notes and their invoice. Also included that we don't accept further fees, as our account was locked on November 1st and we were no longer using their service. Sent them both as physical mail, and through support portal.

- in the mean time they also asked to be paid back that exact amount - their invoice minus credit notes for August and September. I insisted that they confirm that they accept mutual settlement and that there will be no more obligations.

- They confirmed that account is terminated, that there will be no further obligations, so we'll pay them next week and this will be the end of our business relationship. Hopefully these 8k will end up with you guys.

So far I got back 70% of refunded amounts, not great, not terrible.

Kasoff wants to pay himself out a million dollar christmas bonus - so have some understanding that there's not enough left money to pay out everyone. Merchant debts are not valid obligations.

They introduced the minimum payout threshold with the new contracts. 2.5K IIRC. When you are below I assume it gets aggregated until you reach it.
Not sure if the minimum is bound to the payout method. We always used bank transfer.

Outside of SEPA minimal payment was set to 10k.

It clearly seems - through all these measures - that they want to get rid of the small merchants. That's also why they do NOTHING at all to keep them.

$100 / month platform fee
$2500 minimum payout amount
$185 / hour support fee (also for fixing their own faults)
Payout only 60 days (effectively 70 days) after sales period

This all screams: F*ck off small merchants

NO other MoR out there has as desastrous conditions

Post

No, that's not that clear: They could also terminate the contract with you at any time to get rid of you. They don't have to wait until you terminte the contract.

Hats off to you, a very noble move. I'm sure some would've just kept whatever they have.
