When my licenses need renewing it asks me to login but then give a write protection error message.

So I have to close everything and open Cubase in admin mode then it works. Then close and reload Cubase in normal mode, then reload the project again.

Is that how it is supposed to work? Can't it at least tell me when Cubase boots up initially during the plugin scan?

That's because of the Windows UAC (User Account Control).
If you download the Keyfile with the V-Manager, you dont need to start your DAW with admin rights.

I am sure this must be me but could anyone confirm that Avenger runs OK in Logic on the new Sonoma please?
I can install it fine but I have tried everything I can find to do, deleting caches and getting Logic to reindex plugins etc and even though Avenger seems to be fine in Logic plugin manager it is not there to use as an instrument..

Manuel if I have Avenger 1 running on a Mac OS 10.13 will avenger 2 work on Mac 10.13
