Attila, I attached a song in which I have problems.
Perhaps this is the problem of the newest beta Mac OS?
Soon I'll try on another Mac ...
Still here that to me it is not clear ...
If you can generate progressions in a chord selector and save them,
then why can not I instantly drag them to the master track?
Maybe I should not save this progression? And It perhaps would be logical)
And why after I press the button "generate a progression chord" in the chord selector, the chord symbols change to digital always?

Hello lulukom,
the notes do not change because the phrase consists of absolute notes only.
You know that the absolute notes are independent of the master track chords and scale.
Thanks,
Attila

Yes, you are right, the chords change to universal notation (roman numbers). I'll fix this today. And why after I press the button "generate a progression chord" in the chord selector, the chord symbols change to digital always?
Thanks,
Attila

the chords in preview use bass on same track sound, sound very good too. so no additional bass track is need often. is there a way to add a chord generator setting or a phrase variation, so the root note of a chord is play 2 octave lower too ?. In chord selector the builder window have lots room. I dont know but now it look as it is easy possible to add 3 rows in the builder for 3 octaves so can create ultra fat chords.the existing row is the upper octave and there are 2 octave lower possible. so too can add bass sound

hrm I really liked the chord progression editor
the only thing I wish it did was loop, to test out turnarounds.
I don't get any audio preview when clicking on the chords in Chord Selector anymore...
Also, if I click on "circle of fifths" and then close the window, it opens back up to "circle of fifths" when I click on the chord name in Master Track. I don't know that that's a bug necessarily, but the only way to change the Chord Selector view (I think) is to right-click the chord in Master track, and then click on the chord name again to bring up the quick suggestions.
This is on OS X with 3.3b11...
Is there a way to access the entire chord palette still, or is that gone now?
I have to say that for me, today, 3.23 is more useful than the 3.3 beta, because I still have access to the chord palette and progression editor. I'm not really sure why those were removed... or if they were simply moved somewhere, how can I access them?
Where is this new, improved progression editor? I don't see it in the Chord Selector (the thing that comes up when I left-click a chord in the master track, right?)New, improved progression editor built into the Chord Selector, "Progression Editor" tab was removed

See magicmusic's post for the progression editor which is more advanced than the old one. The bottom half of the chord selector can be used to select chords for the progression. You can select multiple chords (Ctrl-click or Shift-click) to remove them by right clicking and selecting "Remove Chords" from the pop-up menu.padillac wrote:I have to say that for me, today, 3.23 is more useful than the 3.3 beta, because I still have access to the chord palette and progression editor. The new chord palette is almost finished. If all goes well you'll be able to use it in 1-2 days:

I am sure that the new update won't be worse than the previous version after so much work.
Thanks for the feedback!

Okay I'm a bit embarrassed
Because the palette was the only one that's in color, I assumed it was the "current" view (highlighted?) and so I never clicked on it!
It is very cool
One problem: the window changes size any time I select "For Master Track" or "For Chord Progression." Say I'm on "For Master Track" and I set the layout to "Max 10 Columns" and "Max 2 Rows." Then I resize the window so that I can view everything neatly. Now I click "For Chord Progression" and the window resizes, hiding some of the chords. Click "For Master Track" and the window resizes again. I think the window should retain the dimensions that I carefully set...
A few requests (if RC can't do these already...)
* optional loop the chord progression preview
* slash chords & inversions from chord selector
* drag chord progression directly to master track, instead of having to save it
This is very cool and those requests would just make it even more useful... but I think I can get a lot done with the chord selector the way it is.

Very good requests, padillac and lulukom!
The new update is being uploaded, I'll post a note about it soon.
I managed to fix the palette window resize issues, I think. In this new version you can drag the edited chord progression to the master track, timeline selection or progression browser.
Thanks,
Attila

Good idea, v3.4 will feature editing chord voicing in the Chord Selector and even tracks may have a default chord voicing. The last major update was a long time ago, in March, so I do not want to squeeze more features into v3.3.slash chords & inversions from chord selector
Thanks,
Attila

Hello Attila!
Thanks for the new beta!
I would very much like to make a small addition ..
If in the chord selector, the menu "Generate chord progression" is opened, let (optionally) this menu is not closed, after I click OK (maybe the checkbox). I want to generate many progressions and I have to open the window to generate again and again)) Thanks!

Click on the "Generate" button with the right/secondary mouse button.
That does not open the options dialog but creates a new chord progression using the current settings.
Thanks,
Attila
